yeah that was some dumb shit they pulled, especially how they claimed it looked even better. After spending some time on their forums reading what some of the supposedly top people in that company says and how they act (and how they lie) i have to say i'm really split when it comes to supporting them ever again.
I'm glad i got TW3 for something like $14 at release, i really didn't like the idea of supporting them..

If they don't admit it, it never happened.

You´ll be surprised. Remember it’s main element is the surprise.

The same people with incredibly unrealistic expectations who still whine about the fucking visual downgrade even after the game ended up still looking breathtaking and provided one of the best gaming experiences of the last decade.
I swear this fucking forum sometimes feels like the depression ward of a psychiatric clinic.

Yikes. You'll have to be one heck of a fanboy if you brush aside lies in this manner. Do you defend ubishit the same way?

How were those incredibly unrealistic expectations? We didn't expect those graphics, CDPR showed them to us and reassured PC gamers countless of times that's how the PC version will look like. Let's say that wasn't the case, those aren't unrealistic expectations, today's graphics are probably 2-3 years behind the current hardware.
That being said, it's not only pathetic that you are defending a lie, your argument is pathetic.

TBH i didn't notice any downgrade with the game at all.
To me it still looked awesome enough.
No comparison with some Ubilol games, where you see how shit it looks at released compared to earlier videos.

Those are actually two different statements that don't go well with one another. If it looked awesome enough it doesn't mean the game wasn't downgraded. There are plenty of videos that show the same locations pre and after downgrade. Besides the change in texture quality and visual assets there is also the chromatic switch which completely changed the visually induced feeling and atmosphere.

Still the most detailed game graphically I have ever played. I also agree with Bob, I don't care how a game was supposed to look before release.

From both a technical and a design level, The Division's visuals kick TW3's ass.

Post-downgrade. The Division has a detailed lighting system that's in synergy with a with the incredibly detailed particle effects. The game has melting snow and freezing waters, better physics, etc. While The Witcher 3 is a good looking game supported by vistas, The Division's technical power is absolutely impressive even after the downgrade, there is no question about that for anyone with a keen eye for graphical details.
As a gamer I can't stand lies. Brian Fargo lied big time, so I didn't support Wasteland 3's development. Larian lied, so I didn't back Original Sin 2. This list goes on, but I pointed these two studios because I wanted to show that indie development isn't an excuse.
