...Must... fight... urge... r..r..read... some recent negative...u..user feedback... ahh! That's better.

When's FM2018... November right? Very Happy

SEGA's first priority, above all else: Chinese language from Day 1.

Doubt its gonna be much better, the negative feedback is due to some kind of stockholm syndrome

I think the people realize the game is destroying their lives but they can't stop buying it

To the defense of the Chinese - the sport has really grown in popularity there. This is a good thing.

That SEGA/Sports Interactive didn't think to include the Chinese language is a pretty obvious proof of either a) disconnect with reality, b) complacency, or both.

Football Manager is the best eSport you've never heard of

Quote:
It's a Thursday evening in Kentish Town and the upstairs function room at The Grafton pub is absolutely heaving. In front of me, a crowd of men, each with their arms folded, are peering intently at a projector - tutting, cheering and grumbling at the proceedings on the screen.

But there is no live sport on. Instead, the crowd of men are watching Stremp City vs Barrett City battle it out in the final of the first round of The Football Manager 17 Cup - concluding three hours of competitive Football Manager action with a battle for a thousand quid.

Yes, Bob-man.

EUROGAMER WITH ANOTHER SCOOP.
Without high-tier video game journalism, society would surely implode within days.

I bought it cheap like a month ago. Last one was FM14 so this one seems like a huge improvement for me. That said, if someone buys the game every 3-4 years he may have some fun.

I did the free play weekend and then used MKDev dump on my i2500k and the game is working fine it seems. Holidayed the game until 2030 to check things and nothing looks weird or odd. I might be lucky.

I bought this one as well a few months ago, first one since 2013. I used to get them every single year, right since Champ Manager 93 / Italia. Like most people, got annoyed with the minuscule changes each year and the constant bugs in the first few months. Really enjoying this one but won't buy it again until there's major changes.

I know people who couldn't care less about the match engine stuff; and they want more to happen in terms of improvements elsewhere. In my opinion they should definitely boost the match engine for FM18, as a priority even.

Tons of stuff they can do to make this game more fun and engaging, and they chose to add fake 'social media' in FM2017 Crying or Very sad

I'm also debating whether to upgrade from 14 to 17. I had the "yarr" version of 17 (was deleted at some point) but never actually played it as I was too into my FM14 career. I just cant decide. Stopped playing 14 as I was winning everything quite easily. Is FM17 harder to master, is the AI much improved and how about the match engine compared to 14?

You could get it working depending on the CPU you had. I was lucky my i5 2500k was on the list so I managed to get it working without all the problems some people were reporting with the cracks. I just never got around to playing it though. It was even 17.3.1 crack and now I dont have the files anymore since losing my old HD.

RIN closed its thread because of too many people asking for the cracks. It was never offical by the community so you were just lucky if the cracks worked with your CPU

Well, for the small iteration it truly is, FM2017 is priced more appropriately now on Steam for a few more days with the 65% off. I'm buying it. Man if it was priced even close to this all of the time, I'd take less annoyance with Sports Interactive's lack of progress.

FM2018, what will it bring us in terms of new cutting-edge features! Can't wait for the 10000s of improvements. Every FM is complete shit for a few months/half a year, so while they will probably release a new one around November 2017, it'll probably be around June/July/August 2018 before I buy that new iteration.

A brand new engine, new training, new stadium development, new youth development, new scouting system, new video ref systems, new contract negotiations, new everything - is needed, thanks SI.

FM is worth it when it is like 50-70% off, even as a tiny iteration, if you like FM that is. Full retail price is complete crazy town, though, for the tiny effort SI puts into the game.

When you suddenly realize you've played FM 500 hours too much; your face looks something like this; hair color included;
