It was Quest for glory, I remember buying it from radio shack. dont remember which part it was, but it was where you started near the shore that had a treasure chest.

I'm not one to complain but I wish more users had followed the instructions given at the start of this thread. Those were:oldest PC game on floppy and no other platforms or media. But many ignored that or didn't read it and included Amiga games, PC CD games and even arcade games. I have no problem with that, though, since I'm not only a nostalgic but also a collector of games. The oldest non-PC game I own must be Combat for the Atari 2600. Okay, I admit it's not exactly in mint condition but it is not chewed up and spat out either. My oldest PC game which is on floppy and still lies resting in its mint condition box is Ultima Underworld:The Stygian Abyss. That was one great game except for the fact that if you didn't fix the inventory bug the game was unplayable. And getting a patch in those prehistoric days were not an easy feat I could also like another poster mention that I have bought many hundreds of games to my various systems. It's not my intention to brag or anything but my collection of Xbox and PC titles are, according to 1UP, worth about $12000. Kiddies, take heed and learn from my example that while games are a wonderful hobby, if you follow my lead and buy so many games you'll also end up like me - always short of money... It's not all bad, though, since I really love my collection of games and systems. In fact, I wouldn't sell them on E-bay no matter what I'd get. Oh, I'm rambling
A final note:it's great to see that there actually are people who follows the advice that most groups gives, namely "if you like the game, go out and buy it".
PM me if you want to discuss the golden, olden days

Lets see...
"looking behind his back on the big boxes on the shelves*
Mechwarrior 2
7th Guest
X-COM: Terror from the deep
Carmageddon
Kept those games cause they were the big ones that hooked me into the PC gaming. Still think they are insanely replayable, unlike todays games.
