The boss baby (2017)

6.5/10

Some nice jokes and scenes in the beginning but then it gets boring.

John Wick 2 - 6/10

Very well shot, fitting music, gruesome fancy shootouts, murderous pencils. That's what the movie has to offer, just..don't even try to look for a plausible narrative or any kind of logical reasoning because there is none.

It's a shame, the first Wick had a soul beneath the Max Payning around, whereas this Badabeboopian version feels more like an extended short merely designed to let the ageless Neomen show off and go on a rampage with style. Which isn't a bad thing, it's simply a bit shallow, rigorously with plot armors and no police around, but at least Johnny is good at what he does. He takes the red pigeon and rolls with it, which counts for something xD

Free Fire 7.5/10

Very enjoyable, although even at 90 minutes it feels a bit too long near the end Very Happy
I thought it would be a bit like Shoot 'Em Up, but this one is more realistic, although still very funny.
Like John Wick, only watch if you want to see lots of shooting (although the accuracy is a lot lower in this one Laughing )

Charlie Day is indeed great and not exactly unknown Wink

when i saw him first (in always sunny) i mostly thought of him as someone doing an impersonation of Bobcat Goldthwait (Police School, the dude with the high pitched voice) there are many similarities, maybe its his kid lol (havent googled), probably not though. Edit: Police Academy.

The setting was nice but I expected a better story with some great twists.

Gold 6/10. I like McConaughey, but his character here is not very likeable at all, im not sure what you are supposed to feel, were you supposed to feel sympathy for this asshole? The story itself is quite interesting, but i didn't feel anything for the characters which does take away from the story itself, especially the love story (which isn't the main theme).

Il Capo dei Capi \ The Boss of the Bosses)\Corleone (TV Mini Series)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1047931

8.5+/10

A great TV series about the rise and fall of one of the most ruthless Sicilian Mafia bosses Salvatore "Salvo" Riin.

If you like films and TV shows about mafia this is a must watch.

Lego batman

Yeah.. It wasn't great...

Happy to admit I had a few laughs, but where lego movie was actually charming, clever and sweet, this was just.. dumb. Just a really generic dumb kids film, that didn't even try to aim at the "family" demographic, but went full kiddy shit. Visually it was pretty enough, but it was a real pity it didn't go for the lego movies 'all made out of bricks' approach.

I'd say it's equally on par with the stv lego batman films. Pretty looking videos with very little substance and a forgettable and not very satisfying story.

It was fun for around two thirds of the movie but it worn me down at the end with its relentless pace and nonstop jokes. And really I can't remember much of the stuff that was happening because of the amount of everyfuckingthing.

hardly matters, when we rate movies we've seen, according to our tastes.

thats like saying all shit movies are beyond reproach or something, because we just 'didnt get it'.

and really, many movies that aim for the youth market do a far better job of being fun, interesting and not being 'dumb', than lego batman did.

Yeah except context and the audience would suggest otherwise as it actually did well so... next Batman here we come! Laughing

..not the general consensus/reviews. Wink When Pixar or any high-end theatrical animation company puts up a flick, it might as well be a license to print money!

In this very case that's very wrong.
This was billed as Lego Movie 1.5 with BATMAN

The trailers were billed as LEGO MOVIE 1.5 with BATMAN

Everyone expected LEGO MOVIE 1.5 WITH BATMAN.
What we got was Lego Batman: The Videogame

So the audience for this was the audience that loved the lego movie which is pretty much everyone who has watched the movie. Not just kids. Lego Movie hit all the right marks for everyone. This movie was advertised for everyone, was aimed at everyone, but it only hit the marks with kids.

You know what's funny, I don't feel the need to question other peoples opinion because I didn't like something they did, which I could do quite a bit. I enjoyed both, get over it.
