PlatinumGames Teases New IP
Quote: | PlatinumGames is working on a new IP, studio producer Atsushi Inaba teased during a keynote at BitSummit.
While Inaba-san remained tight-lipped on the project, describing it as a "formless" IP, he did confirm a new director will be involved in the game.
Inaba-san also spoke to the studio's release pace going forward, saying he's not sure if Platinum will continue to launch a new title every single year. |

Square Enix ported the game not Platinum sadly, you can see the porting team in the credits.

@romatelep2010
SO..they couldn't be bothered with PC version and outsourced it to Square Enix..it's even worse..
PS Performance is pretty mediocre tbh..mostly when you are fighting in the blurry and primitive open world areas

become as gods!
become as gods!
become as gods!
I couldn't resist the temptation, so I went ahead and immersed myself in the magical and bizarre Automata world...I'm glad that I did it. Granted, it wasn't exactly a smooth ride and my relationship with this game was the classic love-hate kind, but overall, everything went better than I expected
On the one hand, I appreciated and enjoyed the creativity behind it, different (unexpected) perspectives, the uniqueness of its approach with the crazy blending of hack 'n slash, top-down shooting and RPG elements, and especially how certain philosophical themes are tackled with both hilarity and more serious tones (the Japanese are masters at that).
On the other hand, there were lots of anime tropes that I found cheesy, design and awkward style of non-robot-like characters/bosses (minus the glorious 2BottomA2thickness ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), along with dated and washed-up visuals and parts of the story that put me off and ruined the mood a bit. That's mostly my fault as I'm not a fan of the "Jap genre" and signature vibes (however less extreme than Bayonetta for instance, that one was..too much for me to handle).
The game itself objectively does several things right: the combat works surprisingly well despite not having much depth, the world design is competent, there's a solid depre...charm..ssing atmosphere in it with interesting backstories and dialogues, increasing nihilism, and the soundtrack is a brilliant work of art. I completed the default early ending, 9s', the proper third one and then the "true one" E: that's where the feel train hits, Yoko men. At the same time though the fatigue gameplay-wise became very evident for me and the various hacking mini-games / revisiting of areas / fighting the same enemies over and over seriously overstayed their welcome, so I had to wrap it up by rushing some parts. That was in my opinion the biggest problem with the game, everything could have worked much much better if the structure was a more "condensed" one so to speak, limiting the artificial (damned tedious) elongation through rinse and repetitiveness (the second playthrough is especially guilty of that).
The poor implementation of M&KB and poor optimization were serious issues as well, it's a console game with little care for the PC world. All in all though, despite some unfortunate design decisions (and my grumpy complaints ) I can say that I mostly enjoyed those ~25 hours spent here. The mission was a success...or maybe not...glory to Menkind

How does this run on a card with 2GB VRAM? I see it recommends 4GB but the graphics don't look that great.

@Ixi: Any major issues you faced in your entire play-through using baldman's crack?
I got the game and applied FAR to it as well. Worked well so far. Just wanted to check if there was anything game breaking at any point.

Actually,I will be even satisfied if they will crack games like the train simulator or Unreveal..
Nier already got cracked for long time now..
Yea I will be more happy if they crack Ubiplay or origns games but I guess they follow thier own rules..
I am hoping for STEAMPUNKS release at least later the day.

No don't worry, everything works perfectly fine that way. I didn't complete all the secondary quests, but no crashes, triggers or strange behaviors were spotted throughout the entire voyage. (Using the Fisher's Steam-Rip + 3C3C1D119440927 DLC)
The two methods/releases (BaldmanV3 and CPY) are practically identical in terms of actual results as mentioned above (which is what matters to us ), so using one instead of another shouldn't make any difference.
