RX Vega lineup leaks (take it with grain of salt), guess we will see final specification at end of this month, when AMD is supposed to finally show these urban legends.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
cause usd prices are always without tax etc, cards need to be imported to europe so on top of the price the usual tax + customs duty. and since the currency exchange atm is very shitty with usd/euro they are fucking expensive
The new ID just popped up on CompuBench database. It is undoubtedly Vega: it was detected as gfx900 architecture, has 64 Compute Units and has new IDs confirmed by Linux patch to be Vega.
The reason why I didn’t name this post “Radeon RX Vega” is because we don’t know if this chip is Radeon RX, Radeon Pro or Radeon Instinct. It would work as a clickbait, but it might be misleading. AMD only confirmed two stack HBM2 for Radeon RX Vega and showcased a sample with 8GB on board. We simply don’t know if the 16GB HBM2 chip is planned for Radeon RX series.
Either way, the most interesting part of this leak is maximum clock frequency (CL_DEVICE_MAX_CLOCK_FREQUENCY). For comparison, Radeon RX 480 in CompuBench database has the same entry with 1266 MHz and Radeon RX 580 up to 1430 MHz (because most cards are overclocked). This could be an indicator that Vega has 1600 MHz maximum GPU clock. Whether that’s a frequency limit or actual boost clock, we don’t know yet.
Lastly, we have a confirmation that this particular ID has 64 Compute Units enabled. If AMD kept the same principle for GFX9 architecture (64 cores per cluster), then we should expect 4096 Stream Processors (64*64).
Doesn't have to be the commercial version of Vega but a GPU was spotted with 16 GB of VRAM running at 1600 Mhz.
(I guess it could be the Nova version if that above with three different versions of the GPU turns out to be true but we'll see.)
1600Mhz would be a huge jump for AMD. So there is hope yet.
I'm planning for the cheapest VEGA GPU to replace my power hungry 290X. But only if it is indeed efficient.

1600mhz is pretty much a must if AMD wants to compete with 1080Ti, anyway, good rule is that if its as fast or faster, it will not be cheap (or AMD will do ryzens, and slap nvidia in the face with prices). But like always, AMD second best is the where the bang for buck is, you can always OC it to same levels as the best one.
Also that 16GB indicates that there is some sort of dual full flat vega GPU incoming, gonna be monster.
Good choice, but i would still first see how upcoming AMD best is going to perform.
I prefer to stick to nvidia for now. Haven't had driver issues in years.
I usually also stick to EVGA (ever since GTX 480) but I've decided to try a new brand this time. I'm leaning toward ASUS
I've used 2 ASUS motherboards and a monitor from them. Loved all their products so far
I can confirm that the Asus OC is a beast!! It delivers solid performance and devours every game like there's no tomorrow!!!
On idle at 30% fan speed it stays at 26-27 Celsius and while gaming at 60% fan speed, it never goes above 60-61 Celsius no matter what game I throw at it and that's maxed out on everything.
95% of all games I tried ranged between 90 & 200
I am very happy with this purchase.
I recommend it to anyone who can afford one.

Cool Im excited! EVGA cards dont clock as high as people hype them up to be. I placed my order via Newegg yesterday. I was initially waiting for EVGA Hydro Copper version of the 1080ti a few weeks ago but I got tired of waiting so I went with this:
