Yes it looks awesome, I can even live with Gosling, but Ford? As much as he belongs in the movie, I have difficulties taking the man seriously nowadays.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
The cinematography and music seem to be absolutely on point, which was expected with all the solid names involved, but still a pleasure . Here's hoping the rest can be up to the task as well and have some sort of cohesion without mannequin effects or various derp-o-ramas story-wise.
Looks soulless , way too clean , crap cgi post processed fakeness. I hope my instincts are wrong and it's a good film. The original is in my top 10 of all time
I couldn't name my feeling about the trailer but you nailed it - soulless. It looks like "yet another action flick", with oldschool filters and music. I know it's hard to sell the thought provocative content via a trailer, especially not spoiling anything, but....I just don't want to be disappointed.

I agree its going to be bad.
it does not have enough of the dark gritty look the origional has too bright.

''The mind and body must be subjected to extreme stimulus, by means of drugs and music.'' - Hunter S. Thompson
It's funny in a way, but it's poignant and sincere on the other. Ryan Gosling has a stone face and the acting skills of a cigarrette, which this vid just made fun of it
Just watched the trailer. It is a little disappointing, but not so bad; we'll see.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Gosling acts and looks a certain way. I'm not a fan of him in any movie.
He probably auditioned for the part, yeah? and they picked him. On set, the director tells him what to do.
Director:
"Stare with a poker face at everything"
Gosling:
Tries to do that, because that's his job.
RLM should have made this YT video after the movie was out. If all Gosling's character does is 'emotionless', perhaps there's a reason within the movie as to why he behaves this way.
If the movie sucks and there's no explanation why Gosling's character looks so "simple", then yeah; making fun of the movie, the auditioning process, the director and the actor makes sense.

I understand that you didn't see much of his movies, because otherwise you'd know that it's almost a meme how Ryan Gosling acts And I kinda like the guy. And I took in good, fun spirit the parody RLM did.
I don't go out of my way to watch Gosling movies, that's for sure. I haven't really made an effort to avoid him either, though.
Maybe they cast him because of how he acts, then? He might be a replicant on drugs or whatever. Who knows at this point. Maybe the choice of Gosling was excellent, we will see.
Do the parody/critizing videos after the movie is out at least, if they're right about his performance in the film, a video like that would pack more punch with better timing and more content in context of the new Blade Runner movie.
People on YouTube earning a living by critizing others is the best kind of people. Their audience is so daft that every video becomes a meme. Make a joke about individuals with cancer who sometimes get to watch movies before they are officially released and you get 100000 views. Dry-hump a random Star Wars item and you get 200000 views. Behave like you have serious mental health issues and you get 300000 views. Make a video based on scenes from Blade Runner's trailer where you stare at stuff in front of a green screen and you get 400000+++.
Also it helps that they are middle-aged, fat, and there are no women involved in the channel because now they can pose as the 'stereotypical' fans of ficiton and 'nerd' stuff.
This was the best of the trailers they released so far, but Vangelis' track variation is distracting. Why not use the awesome original track, or not use it at all?

Those visuals truly are a feast for the eyes , and from the little we've seen thus far, the actual story/ new developments seem somewhat intriguing as well. Granted, it may very well turn into a beautiful empty shell, but I'm not as pessimistic as I usually am with similar attempts to revitalize sleeping giants (...sort of! )
