Started the game, and it crashed after 10 minutes or less, so the crack is not good. Sad

Maybe the crack is buggy (will wait a couple days to see if CPY confirms it) but the main game with previous crack is bugged as well. After an hour or so, everytime you kill an enemy -or your ship takes off from a planet- the game freezes for about 15 seconds. Forums say it's because bad crack, so maybe they didn't get *all* the triggers?

Would have prefered a game release by CPY, but this update is fine too.
Didn't play ME4 at all so far, as i hoped for some miracle release of the update. Which just happened. Very Happy

// But from what you boys write, i should just keep on waiting for a repack. :O

uninstalling the game THEN cleaning the registry with ccleaner (or any reliable registry cleaner) ,
double check the registry manually for any left over entries from bioware and deleting them (backup if needed) ,
also cleaning %temp% ,temp folder and prefetch folder before clean install ,
install cpy rls with 1.05 repack and try new game... ( i know it seems basic to some and a lot of people normally do this...but nonetheless i share the info for anyone who might find it useful)

You need to remove your old save files. Then start a new game. The old saves are incompatible with the new version.

Haha, if gaming companies provided the same responsive, prompt and friendly support as scene groups, our hobby would be in a much better state Very Happy

OK, update done and just 1 minor issue noticed so far. There is key binding listed in the conversation wheel now. Example: [NUM1] "Cora you have a nice arse".

This only happened post update. Everything else is pretty much normal. The increased inventory space is much welcomed. I see some NPC's still clipping through the surface. The planetary travel animation skip is bullshit as it just skips a very small section of it.

Remember all the pre-rendered stuff is masking loading screens, so they were never going to be skipable.

Though they might as well have been because it's pretty common that it plays the ship take off / landing video and then you get the default load screen after anyways as it's still loading the area.

Bit less common when you're just moving between different segments on the map though instead of hoping around on the Tempest but it still happens periodically.

EDIT: And yeah skipping the camera scenery-porn fly-by as you're just trying to scan that other planet in the sector is definitively a nice addition.
(But it's a bit hit & miss as there's a bit of a delay before you get the prompt for skipping and then again after confirming before it finally cuts away.)

It's a round sphere with some low-res texture and basic lighting slapped on, don't really need a 360-flyby every time I visit a planet. Very Happy
(Need a better pilot too, or at least need to be able to tell him not to take the longest route every single time.)

I would guess the flying between planets was to hide asset streaming on consoles/low end machines. Does anyone know if they made that skippable on consoles?

That makes sense, I don't think it's skippable but wouldn't consoles load the data quicker due to the architecture? There's no streaming from a disc far as I know although I guess VRAM and memory constraints still play a role to minimize pop-in and texture fade-in.

EDIT: Actually I guess most consoles use a mechanical HDD come to think of it, SSD would drive up the price even further.

EDIT: Yeah the XBO at least uses a 2.5" SATA2 unit, possibly 5400 RPM and not much cache.
(But that was from a article on the original unit, not sure what the current ones or the XBO S use.)

Game finished,
 Spoiler:

Patch is great, works as intended with old savegames Smile Only issue as been told here, numeric text on every conversation. Skipping ship cutscenes is a joke, you only skip a small portion of the whole stargazing eyecandy shenanigan. Sad.
