* Incursions, which seem similar to Destiny’s raids. These extremely difficult challenges can be played over and over again for more loot, and require players to work together to have any chance of surviving. The first incursion, set in water treatment facility hidden in the sewers, will go live with the game’s big update on April 12. A big reason the incursion might kick your ass? No checkpoints!
* Gear sets are being hidden throughout the game, via loot and blueprints, and equipping a certain number of pieces will get you a unique talent. (Individual gear set pieces will not have talents.)
* Players will be able to trade items with one another, but only within the group that generated the drops, and with a two-hour time limit. In the dark zone, players must head to a gate in order to trade items.
* A new daily mission system, assignments, are meant as “bite-sized” experiences, such as killing 10 cleaner enemies.
* The dark zone is getting hourly supply drops, where high-level gear will drop somewhere in the area, and only the first group there can have it. It’ll be surrounded by high-level enemies, though.
Today sees the first big update to The Division. More than a patch, the Incursions release adds new features and, more importantly, a stonking great raid to play.
The raid (although Ubisoft is calling it an incursion) sees you breaking into a water treatment facility to recapture it from the Last Man Battalion. The mission will apparently be significantly harder than the other missions in the game and, as a result, offers much greater rewards.
Permaban! I assume this is PC only though. Console players can't cheat?
Nope, console players can't cheat as there is no hacked consoles or CFW available atm. Unless glitching, bug abusing is cheating then maybe? It is an online game due to its PvP feature.
Anyway doesn't look interesting the new dlc. I'm glad I got rid of the season pass, traded it for another game as I bought the game+season pass secondhand. Plus early august for PS4 users, what a joke.. I can understand 1 or 2 weeks, but more then 30 days? Well game looks dead to me as nobody on my friendslist play it any more, except for maybe 1 or 2 guys used to be 20+ lol. Was worth the 5-10 euro's I spended on it for 1-2 months of gametime.
I never made it very far when it launched.. does it make sense to start over with all the patches (including the big latest one), or is this mostly for end-game?
i really enjoy the game, its pretty huge too.. you have the main game where you complete all the missions, side missions, encounters, collect the phones/reports/etc
you then have the dark zone where you kill bosses and grab loot and have the option to go rogue and play PvP.
with the new patch you have loads of bosses dotted around the normal map (non dz) and you can go round collecting loot - there are 4 world tiers and obviously the higher tier the harder the enemy and the better loot dropped.
you then have the underground expansion which is cool too.
with the new update, i went into tier4 last night for 4-5 hours and grab shit loads of loot, ive got loads of 229 gear in my inventory and stash so i can quickly switch up my build.
The forthcoming Survival expansion for Ubisoft’s huge third-person open-world shooter The Division will turn the game into a treacherous multiplayer survival game in which hunger, heat and thirst are as deadly as any enemies roaming the game’s virtual New York City.
The developers say the game’s map has been majorly re-worked to depict the impact of an incoming blizzard. Snow piles up even more on cars and visibility is diminished. Note the lack of a mini-map.
This sounds great! I love snow in The Division! More of it is exciting!
