No, but it's still good. Although this show(same as the novels) is clearly aimed at women
PS I've just finished watching the season finale..
It was great
Overall, I'd rate this season 8/10
I wonder what they are gonna do in the next season...I'm not sure I wanna see s
Spoiler:
older Claire traveling to the same time period we saw in s01-02 and mesisng around
However, I wouldn't mind seeing her daughter (that is if they recast the actress who is playing her now, she was baaad) doing time travel stuff , preferably in another time period and another country
Finished season 2 a couple of days ago. I really enjoyed it! Yeah the show is based on books clearly with a female audience in mind but its still excellent drama and surprisingly funny at times! Jamie Fraser is a great character and Claire is super hot in my opinion which I guess is one reason Ive stuck with the show lol. Another reason is Black Jack Randall. He really is a show stealer, twisted and depraved in every sense of the words but makes for some compelling viewing!
Spoiler:
I didnt think much to the episodes in France so I was quite pleased when they returned to Scotland much sooner than I expected.
After the first battle, why were the redcoats being helped in the infirmary? You dont help your enemy! I dont understand that and still dont lol.
The finale was great but felt rushed, I guess probably because of the flashforwards.
So the flashforward at the start of season 2 actually happened, she returned to her present time, moved to the US and presumabaly Frank died and then 20 years later she intends returning to the past because she found out that Jamie didnt die at the Battle of Culloden? Would that be from the time she left or 20 years after the time she left?
I was also quite surprised there was no more Black Jack Randall after he beat his dead brother lol.
I think the show is great and look forward to season 3 next year
It clearly explained why the redcoats were helped, it was the way they were commanded since they were going to be allies before too long. Not that it ended up happening of course...
Spoiler:
Ah ok I must admit, the convoluted politics of it all was at times lost on me :/
I've really enjoyed this season..I liked it more than the previous one. It was definitely more entertaining, well, at least the second half of it. I just wish we saw some time-traveling adventures with Claire's daughter or something
