Greetings men, what is multiplayer like? Is it worth it?
Not worth it, similar to Mass Effect 3. You have a small arena in which you face waves of mobs while completing some very simple objectives (stand in an area to hack it, for example).
Played for about 10 hrs and it realy is good, the gameplay is very good, absolutely the best part of it, though I am a gluton for punishment so started on insanity of course, as vanguard no less....Very tricky parts in the beginning with low hp/powers/equipment. Also purrrty graphics, very nice.
Story is meh, characters do seem...bland, as mentioned countless times everywhere and there are some bugs and glitches, but idk, it doesn't bother me so much...Either my standards have been lowered or I really just stopped caring...
I'm seeing myself finishing this someday and I still to this day could not finish DA: Inquisition, so yes, this is much better.
With that said, this is only ever worth buying at half a price, at most, after they patch it out.
As for Bioware, so so sad what it has become...this could have been such top game in all fields...
Finished the main story and all the additional missions that came with my team. Some tidbits more coupled with a few tasks and it took me around 70hrs to complete
The final "bossfight" was one of the worst I have played in years.
Spoiler:
Just shoot bad guys until timer fills up, what the hell, BW?
It even didn't trigger the sequences properly ffs.
Why do my team members still get skill points after having maxed all the skills? Does something secret unlock?
How do I improve my character health? It's stuck a bit below 700 while all the teammembers have 1100+
I've maxed the skills related to health that I found. Or is it somehow tied to player level?

Or to put it more simply:
- Inquisition: Repetitive tasks with no story.
- Andromeda: Repetitive tasks with short stories.
I'm gonna asnwer in short also - every planet/station had a lot of tasks that had no story also - scan all the plants, pick all the plants, scan all the enemies, mark all the drones etc.
Enough to make you hate tasks.
Outside of the villain and a Krogan accomplice, I don’t like the writing in Mass Effect: Andromeda. There’s things they could do to create superior context, but there’s simply too much of it for it to be an accident. They specifically chose this tone, an emotionally stunted, quasi-memetic cadence that often diminishes the reality of the game, and said “straight on ‘til morning.”
They succeeded at their aim, but it’s a questionable aim. I wonder what a new player thinks of this entertainment product: for me, the bedrock, the ground floor beneath the experience is my affection for Mass Effect. If you came in with this one, and I’ll have to ask around, but I don’t think they earn the emotional checks they’re trying to cash even out of the introduction.
On the quoted points though, I saw something similar in a post on the ME subreddit. The poster's suggestion was that MEA tried to go with a style reminiscent of ME3's Citadel DLC, without having first taken the time developing the characters and world over an entire series of games required to earn it. Seems like Tycho is on much the same page.
It's actually surprising how critical PA have been, given they have been directly employed by Bioware in the past.

That's correct, but I mentioned that the tasks which spanned multiple planets had no story. The tasks you mentioned are those tasks: scanning minerals, wildlife and enemies spanned multiple planets. Those quests genuinely had no real story and were simply menial tasks.
It's actually amazing how many animation "resets" I experienced while playing this today. So far, I do not think that any of what was posted about the animations is exaggarated.
