~140k after two days with around ~110k active players
cant be compared with koth yet, that has over 4 million copies sold. from what i have seen i like it more than koth cause its not that fast paced. if it will be a success will show the next 2-3 weeks, if they players stay i will get it too (hopefully cheaper then,cheapest price is atm 25 euros, thats imho still too much)

I watched a few streams of this earlier today and it does look like a lot of fun if you have friends that have it as well just because of some of the dumb amusing stuff that can happen when running in a group of 2 or 4 players.
The price is a little steep for me currently though as I just had a friendly visit to the tax man and owe money this year so that has wiped my gaming funds for a while but if it ever drops a good bit in price I will have to get it.

Those prices are pretty ridiculous, $230 for something they could of got for free with the game last week for $40. It does make me wish I had bought it just to sell those items for those absurd amounts.

This isn't that kind of survival game or a copy/paste game. Bluehole aims for a release in 6 months which is quite doable considering the current state of the game.

Every video I've seen about this is 3rd person tripe. I can't imagine why anyone would want to play that.

Ok haven't posted in a while.
My first impressions on this. firstly a little offtopic, has BlueHole paid off literally all of the youtubers? there isn't a single negative video on youtube. I understand there are shills but this seems a little ridiculous.
Played the SOLO mode and the DUO mode.
PROS:
Very solid already
Guns feel beefy and have some heft.
Amazing fun when playing duo.
Large diverse map
Guns and attachments are great
CONS:
Very similar in feel to h1z1, motorbike helmets and 3rd person you feel like you're in h1z1, engine very samey.
3rd person cheesing, everyone camping and using camera to peek
no 1st person hardcoremode yet
Performance is not even sup-par, its sub-sub-par
Intense lag on 50% of games
sometimes three 7.62 rounds don't put down players at close range, very arcadey.
clunky controls, 3rd person hipfire, 3rd person focused fire and 1st person ADS can't be remapped at the moment.
cheats already available, come across several ESP ers tracking through buildings and seeing me in impossible situations.
(pretty much all of these games) people with £2k machines running everything on mega low, even using launch options to force low memory because if you dont you're at a disadvantage

Are the visuals all that similar with H1Z1? That game has a pretty old engine and a Candy Land look to it while Battlegrounds is built using Unreal Engine 4 and has a much more balanced color pallet.

Don't get me wrong int, I'm being over critical maybe , it's very very fun still, ten fold in DUO or SQUAD mode.
I only have one criteria for all games like this, including normal fps games , if I get the drop on someone, and I get a few rounds in them, they should be dead, I "win" that situation. If however get the drop on someone, put some rounds in them and they turn round and insta-KILL me, I usually put the game down shortly after. The latter is happening in PUBG as it stands. |

The hit detection is very iffy at the moment. I think this is "mostly" due to lag. The more hours I accumulate, and I'm scratching on the number 100, the more you witness dubious behaviour.
I get the feeling that the game de-syncs just as much as ArmA does but they ramped up the lag compensation so much that it isn't as visible as it is in ArmA in most situations. Even though, at the moment, due to high the amounts of players and servers suffering performance issues due to it, you can sometimes even witness full on ArmA-style de-syncs now.

for me its money only, can´t even pay for the next round of ArmA 3 DLC´s (and i REALLY want them) so this game here has to wait until most people dropped it because of boredom or whatever. of i could, i´d buy it instantly because it looks good and seems fun to play
