Emulation is perfectly legal and the Cemu devs are not from NA anyway Exzap is french as far as i know so they can't even do the usual tricks to scare the devs with their lawyers or try to outlast them in court cause money rules in US law.

I'd be impressed if they had better standards for 'playable'... but they don't really.

If you can play at decent FPS and finish the game it is 'playable', But I agree it might be better to add another category... "flawless" or "perfect"...

What do they consider decent FPS? With emulators I never considered anything below perfect 'decent'.
Although perhaps this is more a question of what hardware you consider as a reference.

That video makes me wet my pants.
They nicely moved the next version release date to April 2., to grab another round of those tasty patreon $$$. Fine by me, then I paid March and April which totals $10 instead of buying a Switch and BOTW. And the Emulator is totally worth it.

Nice to See Cemu getting newer builds faster now, definitely going to test the Zelda over the weekend.

What's this patreon thing? Do you need to pay for Cemu now?

Public releases which are completely free follow the Patreon-exclusive ones after a week. So if you want to have legitimate access to those early releases, you have to pay a minimum of $5 per month.
You can interrupt it whenever you like, but it's likely we'll see somewhat monthly big updates.

I am fine with waiting a week or two to get the emulator. Since other people are paying for it and I can enjoy it, I wouldn't whine.

Yeah and looking at some open source projects recently showed me that a lot of time is wasted fighting over every little change, people getting pissed and leaving or shiting on the whole project for no reason and so on i just had that with Citra, people not involved with projects like this ofc never notice unless the shit goes public but it happens a lot so i can understand perfectly why someone would rather go closed source (and make some dough in the process) then put up with that crap.

Dolphin has a lot of pending commits for that reason I guess, monthly payment at least kinda forces them to have something to show each month to maintain actively paying supporters though open source would retain code and what not if the project were to ever be cancelled or otherwise held up, there's up and downsides to everything I suppose.

This guy is going to get reamed so hard by Nintendo. Emulation is legal in his country, but money speaks.

@ Boneleech
Why are you so sure of that, considering that they haven't managed to stop any previous emulator? Although I can see the appeal for nintendo, attempting to prevent people from playing Zelda, since this could arguably hurt switch sales (especially in the mind of companies).
