Nice but I can see why they removed all that from the final game

Nah it's not a badly milked genre. They simply released all games, released huge dlc's and then released whole packs on all systems. I think it's ok.
No lootboxes, no microtransactions, no ads, no daily rewards, no bullshit at all

Its a big step. Everything was calculated before, and now it might be "go where you want, do what you want" philosophy. Dark souls being semi open was ok. Even completely linear would be fine.
I finally finished all of Dark Souls 3 !!!
Originally I've played it on release but used trained on dancer and afterwards.... did not knew about the dragon area or champion gundyr area. Now I've finally gathered my strengths and played for last 4 days straight. All bosses and also both dlc 40 hours. Even helped some other people beat some bosses.
It's Sekiro's fault. I was parrying and dodging with claymore. Normally I play those games with heavy shield, ugs and not roll almost at all. it works for ds1 and ds2 but for ds3 is much faster like Bloodborne. I still like DS2 the most because of atmosphere and varied level design but DS3 looks stunning (played on 4k) and it's a great game. FINALLY

Action role-playing game Dark Souls 3 has been taken offline following reports of an exploit that could allow bad actors to take control of your PC.
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have turned off player-v-player (PvP) servers, meaning gamers cannot play competitively.
The downtime affects Dark Souls 3, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls: Remastered.
But the purported exploit cannot affect console gamers and as such PvP remains available on PlayStation and Xbox.
Dark Souls 3 was released in 2016 to much fanfare and remains one of the top 100 most-played games on PC by active users, according to game-distribution service Steam.
Though the servers being down reduces functionality, the game remains entirely playable without PvP.
A tweet from the official Dark Souls 3 Twitter account said the servers had been “temporarily deactivated to allow the team to investigate recent reports of an issue with online services”, adding: “We apologise for this inconvenience.”
After months of speculation and unconfirmed reports of incoming fixes, FromSoftware has finally, officially confirmed that it is bringing back online servers for the Dark Souls games on PC.
The story goes back to the beginning of 2022, when the discovery of a serious security vulnerability in Dark Souls 3 led publisher Bandai Namco to suspend PvP servers for all Dark Souls games on PC. Bandai and FromSoftware initially said that the servers would be kept offline until after the release of Elden Ring, giving the expectation that service would be restored relatively soon after, but that didn't happen. Four months later they remain MIA.
A Reddit post from earlier this month claimed that a Bandai Namco support rep had said that help was on the way, and now we finally have it straight from the source.
"We are currently in the process of restoring the online servers for the Dark Souls series on PC," FromSoftware said in an email sent to PC Gamer. "We plan to restore online service for each game progressively, bringing back servers for Dark Souls 3 once we complete the necessary work to correct the problem."
"We will provide additional updates as soon as the restoration schedule is finalized. We want to thank all our players for your patience and understanding as we work to fix this issue."
There's no timeline on the fixes, and the statement about bringing back "each game progressively" is a bit confusing: To my reading it suggests they'll be done in order (1, 2, 3), but the mention of Dark Souls 3 specifically indicates that it will be first—which makes more sense, since it's being played so much more than the others. But that's just details: The important thing is that it's happening, and that the process is far enough along that FromSoftware and Bandai are finally willing to say so. I've reached out for more information on the timeline for fixes and will update if I receive a reply.
Fucking finally. Hopefully the new improved servers will also make cheating harder ()
