Damn you have to be a bit careful with comparisons between wii u and switch. Some scenes actually look like grass and other things look different, but those may actually be due to different time of day in the scene?
Early examples look slightly different, later examples are absolutely the same at different resolution in this video
Spoiler:
So no reason to wait for Switch emulation? Are there performance differences between the two on actual hardware?
It looks the same (apart from resolution), performs about the same. Actually the best performance you can get is to use the Switch in downclocked mode (as a handheld instead of docked), for some reason.
I would really like to see a good PC emulation, to be able to use higher resolution and AA, perhaps even 3D Vision + possibly some texture fixes as well hehe (would love to play around with that).
The Switch version runs a bit better in extreme situations like being in a town at a storm for example it lags a bit more in other situations though at least according to Digital Foundry.
RPCS3 Pushing the limits of PS3 emulation to new levels in 2017
BY WOLOLO · MARCH 10, 2017
The experimental PS3 emulator RPCS3 has gone a long way, and February has been a month rich in changes for the PS3 Emulator. It’s been a while since we last covered progress on RPCS3, and the changes are pretty impressive.
The PS3 emulator that keeps improving
The RPCS3 team published an in-depth report of what has been improved over the last few weeks. Changes include dramatic graphics improvements that made many more games compatible* with the emulator, improvements with gamepad support, and a bunch of bugfixes. Amongst game that properly load are Persona 5, Atelier Rorona, Totori, Meruru, Ayesha, Ar Tonelico Qoga, Trinity Universe, Tekken 6, and Project Diva F 2nd. I won’t paraphrase the article and instead encourage you to read it directly on the team’s blog.
Checking the compatibility list, at the time of this writing, almost 94 games are considered playable, and more than 300 additional games actually load properly.
Persona 5 now loads in the RPCS3 emulator thanks to recent updates
Maybe even more interesting are the goals of the developers for RPCS3 in the months to come. Improving Compatibility is high on their list, as well as improving experience specifically for Linux, and overall making the emulator more user friendly by automating some of the tasks such as picking appropriate sprx files. The ultimate goal, of course, would be to totally emulate the PS3, to support things such as loading games directly from PS3 discs, support peripherals, and remove the need to load the PS3 firmware within the emulator.
In other news, RPCS3’s new lead developer Nekotekina has started a patreon campaign to be able to work on RPCS3 full time. If you’re a user of the RPCS3 emulator, or expect to see more improvements in the months to come, consider supporting his campaign.
zelda is behaving strange, first time i booted it up i had 20+ fps in the first playable room. after closing and reloading it its only 10? wtf?
Yeah happens in other games as well it's cause of the compiled shaders if you delete them (in both transferable and precompiled) it will be back to normal till restart but stutters a lot it's a bug.
doesnt seem to be the problem, deleted the cache. intro was a bit faster now, reaching the steady 30fps before link wake ups. but after that 12-13-14fps and constant complete stopps. but it worked way better the first time i started it, grrr
Hm.. I am considering to test it myself.. I have the loadline release.. will it work decent?
I thought It might be better to wait for at least for next build.
Zelda? If you just want to see what it looks like, it's fine.
If you want to actually play the game, you'll need to wait for multiple builds before it's playable.

I'd wait. Right now it doesn't look or play as it should. I downloaded it for my son on his Wii U and it's gorgeous, but on Cemu right now it's not. Early days..
On Cemu how do you add DLC to games. Say MarioKart8 for instance. I've copied the updates directly over the game directory but DLC doesn't seem to work.
Similar to game patches, you can place AOC files (Addon content) in:
mlc01/usr/title/<titleId_upper8Digits>/<titleId_lower8Digits>/aoc/
Cemu will then automatically recognized the DLC and load it.
For example, the folder structure for US MK8 DLC would look like this:
<cemuFolder>\mlc01\usr\title\00050000\1010EC00\aoc\code
<cemuFolder>\mlc01\usr\title\00050000\1010EC00\aoc\content
<cemuFolder>\mlc01\usr\title\00050000\1010EC00\aoc\meta
Note that some games need to be updated in order to support DLC.
In the future we plan to simplify the installation of patches and DLC by providing a simple UI based method.
Haha (impressive considering that a few weeks ago they couldn't even get past the initial black screen). So far there have been only baby steps, it's time for the next gen emulators to finally become adults!
Looks like more and more games starting get get "almost" playble on rpcs3,as recent build seems to be huge milestone,it might actually surpass Xenia in terms of compatibility.
