I couldn't give a fuck about what the games' title is, or what it says or tries to be. I played for about 3-3½ hours last night, and I had fun. Not GOTY in the slightest, but I enjoy it.
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc
Games is better received by critics than expected.
Now, I didn't play much - but I've got a bit of experience with gaming. It seemed decidedly bland to me, though cooperative gameplay can be fun almost no matter what the game is like.
Guess I need to check this out again down the line, but there's no way I'm paying full price for it.
Maybe it'll be worthwhile in a year or two - if Ubisoft doesn't abandon it.
No need to resort to such a hostile post in reply to a simple opinion that wasn't even directed at you.
Why does pointing out shitty things in shit games bother people so much? You 'couldn't give a fuck' yet you clearly give a fuck. Nobody is taking anything away from you. Besides, aren't you unlike us plebs? One of those superior original members with godlike status, attributed to a join date? Isn't this beneath you?
First, see the last post on the previous page, then the last part of your first sentence.
I wasn't trying to be hostile in the slightest, all I was saying was just that, that even if this was released under the DOOM-brand, I'd enjoy it. That's it, calm down.
I even agree on the points about the games' flaws, but what else can we expect from Ubisoft.

For 35 bucks its okay, the driving is okay but the chopper is awful. Havent played much either, just the first area and i like it for what it is, simple tactics shooter.
Played a good while with M1ghtyman, experienced some fun stuff and playing on Hard is challenging enough, combat with 5-8 people can end up really bad, would say that's pretty improved.

Good stuff, but what a shit website that GR Network is. Even the Social Club website for GTA Online was way easier and worked properly.
It shows the buy now page and is under maintenance. Inviting players via their username is way easier.
The AI in this game is worst than the one in ARMA 3. Not only the enemy's behavior is basic but they can see through foliage and acquire target in the blink of an eye, a total fuckin joke.
I never did get along with the WASD keys so I am still oldschool playing with the arrow keys. I use END for sprint, PAGE UP and DOWN for crawl and prone etc. If I want to resign those keys I get an INVALID KEY message. Anyway to fix this?
And people are complaining about A TOM CALANCY GHOST RECON WILDLANDS for having people being able to land on fucking helicopters rotors and walk while spinning. Don't you fucking get it? Their feet are just synchronized to the fucking rotor! PhysX, people! For god sake...

Guessing those are system or well hardcoded for some specific function so those keys can't be rebound.
Which sucks ass for people preferring non-WSAD bindings whether that's arrow keys or just being oh I don't know, left handed.
(Are there left handed gamepads come to think of it? reversed XBO/PS4 button layouts?)

This game is a half assed mess. The AI can't even walk around objects, all the cars just stop on the road if there is something in the way and NPCs run in walls like idiots. There are so many bugs I can't remember them all.
The tactical gameplay is a fuckin joke and the huge amount of guns is just for show because the enemies become spongier and you are forced to use only the high damage guns.

The funny thing is how Ubisoft dealt with the stealth component. The AI ain't bright at all, so in order to force players to some stealth attempts the map is filled with these Unidad units which are basically the police from GTA. If you trigger the alarm on their compounds they keep coming and will eventually overwhelm your group. And since the AI sees through bushes and has instant target acquisition with no bullet spread what so ever, you are basically forced to try and sneak around at least until you get some control over the enemy's base. It's one of the most artificial difficulties I've seen in a game so far and the way the AI works is almost disgusting.
These so called ghosts are a squad of unfit soldiers who can't properly turn left or right while running (I mean it, when you run you almost lose control over direction) and have to resort to some abominable progression system to become combat ready. The end result is a pathetic gameplay which involves spamming resurrects, fast traveling on other players during combat and shooting more bullets than necessary to kill human enemies. Apache helicopters are destroyed by 1 GL hit but some soldiers might survive that.
The world is beautiful tho and the transition between various environments is quite natural. Sadly the world is full of poorly designed filler missions that have no redemption qualities. I think what I liked the most so far is that Wildlands is the first game I played that has got helicopters crashing right. You can survive a crash landing and the dynamics and physics of this process are quite impressive for a game that's a gathering of consolized arcade elements.
There are some other small details which are quite cool. The weapon's lasers are visible, the car radios can be heard from outside, shots can be heard through radio communication, cloths get dirty, etc. But the sheer amount of terrible stuff overwhelms every good quality this game has.
BUT HEY! Bugs and glitches make for a fun gameplay experience! I certainly had fun when after spend an hour on mission, the NPC we had to rescue got stuck in a wall and only 1 out of 3 squad members trigger the last object so we had to start over. It's also great fun that a Co-op game can't synchronize the actions of 4 players the end result being a ton of visual bugs.
I played the beta for 1h and got bored.
It looks nice, but that's it....i know maybe some would say that the world game is alive, but to me it feels dead.
And other thing i hate about this open worlds games is the lack of natural calamities/events,like earthquakes, storms(like mad max had),avalanches,etc...more alive world, dangerous animals..is it that hard?
Every time you would play the game an event could happen in the game time, when you exit and come back again the event that happened would be fixed (say it was an avalanche)...
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands - ₹ 3,499 ~ $52.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
