Noah Hawley creator of Fargo is writing and exec producing a pilot already ordered by FX.
Executive producers include Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg (director and writer of several X-Men movies respectively) and (Marvel's) Jeph Loeb but I'm sure they are only in name connected to it.

There's a novel like that by Brandon Sanderson - about a guy with multiple personalities... which he actually sees as different people and can talk to, and which happen to have expertise in all manner of different fields. They live in his house, have their own rooms... even romance one another, hiding it from him

Marvel's moviemakers should be jealous: Just when they thought they were making something TV couldn't top, Legion comes along and sets the bar even higher.
Legion isn't a superhero show anyway, but it does have the potential to be the most unique and perhaps even the best comic-book based TV series to come around in quite some time.
If you think you’ve seen everything a superhero show has to offer, wait until you see Legion.

he wasn't discharged. he was captured. then released. majority of the episode, from what i gathered, happened in his head. The incident - lass kissed him, freaked out, didn't know he was a mutant... went all Phoenix on everyone.
They got her (him out) out. Him (her) escaped.
I guess the mind swap isn't permanent. Cause it happened while he was sitting.
Solid 6.5 so far. If the quality continues... blending reality with his screwed up head... then the the score will go up.
Liked the style, reminded me of Life Aquatic and overall Wesl Anderson's movies. But I hope they won't overdo the weirdness. As the saying goes - never go full retard.

I think this show will deal with the fact he killed his father when he was a child and the guilt made him go mad. X-Men are here to add some flavour to it and make it more mysterious.

Visually arresting on a level very few series manage to be, but I really really really really have absolutely no idea WTF I am watching.
This episode blew the previous ones out of the water in term of the WTF factor and that's not an easy thing!
