Nice weather for a walk. And beautiful pictures! We didnt get nearly as much snow.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I took those while hiking near Couvin. I'm not a picture taker, usually. it's just that those landscapes where breathtaking, and I wanted to share them.
A lovely 5 days trip Smile

We drove the Defender through some fucking hardcore roads. I have some short videos of that, but I don't know any video host, like imgur for the pics. Ideas? Smile

Hottest 80 year old grandma on the Humps, hands down Very Happy

Kidding aside, good stuff! I tried doing the same in the Alps but brown fields weren't exactly as evocative and atmospheric as the snowy ones. It felt like home, only slightly more precipitous xD

The other dude was driving, it was fuckiing INSANE, the snow that fell the day before hid most of the HUGE traps laying ahead. But that car is a tank.

Speaking of the other dude, he comes from a super-wealthy family, and all the pics where taken in his family's estate (aka private domain).
At some point a guy stopped us, saying "this is private property blah", and he just had to give his "credentials" for the guy to become super friendly again.
It bothered me. Why couldn't people enjoy those sights? It's not like a gazillion tourists will show up and trash the place.
Privatizing nature is sort of a crime in my book...

In hunting season, that's one thing. But in the dead of winter? Come on, give people some slack.

But heck, what do I know?

Well, since I'm quite the co(o)k, I made super fancy dinners for everybody when we came back.
I'll be sure to post the pics when I get them Smile
