Yeah you could call it like that... I heard somewhere that the developers got the idea from the show Stranger Things.

Started my first char in this league yesterday. Last time I played was when the Labyrinth was introduced. Seems I missed a lot. Even though I just recently watched Stranger Things I didn't even notice it could be influenced by that Shocked

Playing with "Whack-a-Mole" totem and it's fun Very Happy

so on normal dificulty (or whatever the first is since i couldnt choose any when i started the game), breaches are useless? or bosses appear on that difficulty too? 'cause i encountered like 5 breaches so far, killed alot of those purple mobs but didnt got anything special in the inventory

They have significantly higher drop rates of items in my experience... and can have several rare enemies. Besides, yellow breach rings drop there, which tend to have quite nice stats.

Even at normal difficulty, I still recommend doing breaches. You can get good loot from them + good loot from the hands/chests that appear in them. It'll also train you on how to do breaches for when you reach the higher difficulties. But yes, I also think they have higher drop rates + you get a ton of enemies on top of you at once. That's also good for drops.

I don't remember since it's been a while since I played it but going by the Steam screenshots perhaps they altered it so players could appreciate all the finer details of the game up close? Razz

This is why I dropped PoE yeeaaaaars back, couldn't zoom out more, good design decision there retards. And also the excessive clicking was causing me some pain after about an hour because of ganglion cysts.

Heh and here I casually strolled into act 4 a few days ago thinking I was almost done with the game. Very Happy

This looks great Very Happy

but

I wish they updated their engine or something...Interiors look nice but outdoors suck.. especially jungles etc.. Crying or Very sad

PS I stopped playing even before act 4 got released. Laughing I've recently installed it to see how things changed and noticed that my character skills got reset and tbh I didn't feel like dealing with their skills "tree"..I think it's one of this game's flaws.. the skill tree is too large, too many passives and stuff..It gives you an illusion of numerous choices whereas you only have several viable builds and you can easily fuck up your char.

@h0rnyfavn

Best thing to do on your first 25 characters or so Very Happy is to find a guide for a good build. And WTF the skill tree is amazing!!!!!

The game gets DX11 support and they have teased some new waves, so there is probably more on the graphics that we haven't seen yet.

You call this a few builds? Very Happy
Sure some follow similar patterns, but you can get really crazy on that skill tree and create pretty competitive builds.

@Nodrim

Maybe.

+

The tree has got lots of filler stuff that just waste space on my screen and makes the whole experience of dealing with it kinda confusing. it could be easily made much smaller retaining all the bonuses (overall)

PS I've watched the preview and it looks like they will be reusing LOTS of assets, earlier areas and maps. So, now "10 acts" doesn't sound too awe-inspiring tbh Very Happy

In acts 6-10 you go through some of the areas of 1-4 and see the changes. A lot has been changed in these areas based on the player's actions in the previous acts. Sure some of the layouts will repeat, but there are new zones, graphic assets, monsters, quests, bosses, etc. I find this concept pretty cool.

Awesome stuff. I read some time ago they are planning 7-8 acts, but I didn't think they would release it that fast. Hope they can keep up with the quality of the last updates. It really showed they hired skilled people. Of course there are the usual naysayer, but just keep in mind this game is free to play and the leagues are way more interesting than a D3 season.

I wish they would add the 1hour/ledge race permanently to the game. Or at least offer them more often. Such a fun mode.

Now if they could add proper physics engine a.k.a ragdolls, this would be awesome, animated deaths look horrible after Diablo 3 awesome physics engine and combat feedback/sounds, also that retarded zoomed view kills the game for me.
