					| I preordered it too because on Amazon you don't pay a dime until it ships. Can cancel anytime.
So far i'm disappointed, most likely because I already have the WiiU and the 3DS.

 prices are fine.

 350$ here in canada.

I sort of want to pre-order but will most likely buy it in april when mario kart comes out again.

 I'll play zelda on wiiu.

The presentation was exactly what they said it would be... an introduction to the switch. and they succeeded at that. The device is very interesting. The launch line up not so much.

I love how people are saying 2-6 hour battery life is terrible. LOL.

proof that a lot of gamers are jaded.

put in a dice logo = super realistic pro shooter (when it really is a poor cod clone trying to survive in a genre it used to dominate)

Put an EA logo = Best ever sports games ever (When it really is a rehash of the same old game for 5 years ago with just a new skin and an updated roster)

Put a bathesda logo = Best western RPG EVER! (If you wait 3 years for all the bugs to be ironed out)

put in a sony logo = REAL GAMERS SYSTEM

Put in a MS logo = REAL HARDCORE GAMERS SYSTEM! GEARS! HALO!

Put in a nintendo logo = Kiddy system lol who the fuck plays this?!

Please. New tech is always exciting.
But no need for new tech when I can play zelda anime on wiiu.
 Should've cancelled zelda for wiiu.

					| Yeah I'm surprised that they're releasing Zelda on both systems at the same time. If they had delayed the wiiU version for six months or so, then it gives more of a reason to buy the Switch early on.

					| Same thing pretty much with ps+
once your sub lapses you lose access to all your shit.
And who cares about a free game? Seriously.
Yes there are big issues with that post iwata nintendo is doing.

But who cares? I liked what I saw. Nothing really excited me, but I liked what I saw.

And yes it is new tech. Just cause you're jaded and you don't see it.
Just like the tech behind streaming on WiiU. That tech alone is brilliant. Shame it failed.
Would love to have seen that sort of thing in new things.

					| I mean I'll always invest in Nintendo to get their exclusives, they're that good.
I believe BotW will run superior on Switch, so I'll want it there.

I want the new Mario, don't care about the goofy city setting.

The inevitable Smash Bros. I will always want.

Beyond that, I'm sure there will be some good stuff. On top of that, I'm a collector anyways, and love new gadgets. No brainer for me to pre-order.

					| I imagine my primary gaming will be done in the dock with pro controller anyways. Unless games specifically need the joycons, then they typically get held in non-traditional ways anyways.
 Time will tell!

					| and that my friend kills the "switch" factor, aka mobile gaming stuff blabla. you see? nintendo doesnt really knew what they wanted to do and thats why im very pessimistic about that whole thing. not only the shitty lineup. sure they thought "hey we need some different sale point than ms and sony", but imho they would have done much better with a classic console. they could have implemented those hd rumble shit conjoygaytrollers without a problem too for their little party games

					| Well, I can see dragging it along on trips too.. I like the option. I like the idea that the tab is the console this time, rather than on the Wii U it was streamed to it, so you couldn't go too far.
Not trying to be a Ninty fanboy here, these are all valid concerns people have, just pitching in my personal take.

I feel like this is purely a case of PS4 (Sony) and Xbox One (Microsoft) are clearly leaders in their "classic" console space, I appreciate a device that does something different. This kind of thing has always interested me, maybe it's my collector side speaking. To that end, my VirtualBoy is one of my favorites, just because it's so different...

Maybe Nintendo will crash and burn again, but at this time, I'm pretty excited to see where this goes. I love unique hardware.

I can see how this could look as a huge and disappointing device, though.

					| Previewers say it seems slightly more powerful than the Wii U and Zelda has already framerate problems while it doesn't look very nice. It's the best that can be expected from a glorified tablet I guess.

That was before the formula got stale. Hopefully this one will truly change it up a bit.

					| Let's face it at 200-250 bucks with 1 2 Switch packed in (Seriously who the fuck is going to buy this for 50 bucks it screams pack in) reasonable priced peripherals, no online fee and so on they could had a very good chance with this thing to at least get most of their core audience and maybe even expand a bit but with all those honestly mind boggling stupid decisions this thing will tank hard, how a company this big can be this delusional is absolutely beyond me, i feel insulted by them as a potential customer.

					| I'm not exactly sure why people would buy this. As a console, it's very weak. HW seems to be barely stronger than the Wii U and the internal storage of 32GB on its own makes this a fail. I assume the game installs and patches will be very small compared to the other consoles. Pricing is also ridiculous since it's slightly cheaper than a PS4 Pro, which is an all-round home entertainment system. Yes different segment, but it's still a huge competition. Much more for a slightly higher price.
As a handheld it's big, the screen is average at best and the reported battery time of 3 hours doesn't really make it a portable gaming device.

I understand what they are trying to do, combine both worlds to have a USP in a world where they are under attack from both side: mobile gaming and the two big console competitors. This will all depend on their game catalog, well the line-up is pretty crappy. They seem to have the backing of big publishers for now, but the Wii U had big support pre-launch also but it died within a year. It's also a big question whether the modern engines will run on this console. Why does FIFA run on the PS3/Xbox360 engine for example?

I really didn't like the Wii, but Nintendo had a winner with that one. They created a unique console for an untapped crowd, the very (very) casual gamers. I don't know WTF this one is supposed to be, since it seems to be the worst of both worlds.

					| and a little headsup about the "free" games:
they are only free for the month they give them out! doesnt matter if you subscription expires after that month or not -> you need to pay to play them after the month ended

craptendo does everything to make this a huge fail
