I've just noticed something on my mobo specs:
" - PCIE x1 Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s
- Realtek RTL8111E"
Does that mean lan is shared by pcie lane ?
That would most definitely explain why lan drops when playing a game! if so, it is a shitty design but very cheap fix.
I have this usb 10/100 card. I will first try with it

it just says its connected via one pci express lane (same as it would if you buy a pci express x1 gbit ethernet card). doesnt say anything about how its lane might be shared by any other component (you need to do some research to find that out)

If that was an issue, wouldn't that mean that any AIB that you install on your motherboard will be prone to issues when playing games? The implication being that all PCs are limited to just one PCIE device per motherboard...

I've seen youtube videos of steamlink used for streaming. You can apparently just minimize big picture and use steam controller to navigate mirrored pc. That seems fantatic if it really works.
And right not bundle(link and controller) is 55 euro. That is only little pricier than chromecast2 here (which is bad ad mirroring desktop).
And who knows, maybe I would use steam controller for something else too
DLNA/SERVER would be the best but my tv does not support dlna. It's old 720p tv. I will get my old parents 1080p bravia soon but it also does not support dlna I think

steam controller works out of the box as mouse/keyboard replacement. even 360 controllers work fine, but need additional software

Ordered link+controller. 68 euro with shipping included so not bad.
If it won't work for movies, I should still have plenty of use for it
