we will see. Honestly I don't care if the board broke, network adapter acted strange since months anyway. Only sad thing is the lost of multicore enhancement,so no full boost on all cores anymore.though the impact on gaming performance was very low.

Never ordered with ups express.hope that means the driver delivers it first in town, usually the ups truck drives around 10-11 in my area.im home till 1pm...hope he wakes we up at 8am Very Happy

How do the caps looks on the board or was it solid state already? Only way I've seen motherboard break is by busted cap on power delivery and most already have solid state cap on that part, if not whole board.

But good luck, hopefully you get to enjoy that 1070 soon Smile

At this time of the year? Reaction

Get real, they'll be there right after you leave, and will still be distributing some other packages by 18h30, when you pop up on their local office hoping that the guy left your package there. Just to discover that he's still running around with it, so delivery will only be possible on the next day Mad

Naaaa, last time i ordered with ups standard delivery was a week for Christmas. Was around 10-11 am,but i was on route in my city for work and just asked the driver a few Streets away from my home if he has my Package cause i wont be home Very Happy and its a small town,i dont think ups has much to deliver here

Board itself looks fine, but that means nothing. I dropped a screw when first mounting the 1070,it bounced on the board and flipped behind it. Ofc shaked it out before turning on but maybe it damaged Something, unlikely but could happen

Edit: Ups says will get delivered not later than noon, thats fine

I got the card but no code for free game, I mailed to amazon, so they can fix it.

The card is touching the Noctua and ram can't be removed without removing the graphic card and I thought it wouldn't fit. Laughing

that looks good yeah. Do you get the same GPU usage even at higher settings? looks like the RAM speed is likely what is holding back most of the nubzors over the internet and likely has a slightly higher effect on AMD users due to the overhead. that's why I wish I had a profitable journo site under my control.

Same GPU usage, CPU usage seems a bit lower as my FPS goes down to 60. I get limited by my GPU as I increase settings to custom high. Not many settings seem to increase CPU usage, they all seem to focus on GPU. If they allowed us to add more bots on the streets, it might give more control regarding CPU.

My gut feeling here is that Watch Dogs 2 tries to have the closest experience between players due to the "seamless" multiplayer aspect of the game. Might explain why CPU is so high even at lowest settings, and most settings only seem to use the GPU as we go higher. Only increase how good everything looks, but we still all get a similar base game so it doesn't seem strange when we enter someone else's world (we don't suddenly have twice as many cars and pedestrians, or half as many).

the 770 was basicly a 680 yes, both based on full gk104 chips

the 770 just had slightly higher clockspeeds and boost 2.0 (thats why they raised the tdp from 195 to 230w)

Erm nope, 770 main improvement was faster memory. 1502mhz to 1753mhz. So more memory bandwidth.

Which has been achieved by flashing the old cards with newer bios with higher clocks. Wink

Nope, it's higher speed memory (physically different chips), same that are in 970.

Maybe on some models but definitely not on all. Besides that 970 used 3 different chips at least.

just found out my new gfx card changes its color depending on the usage.... not that i really see that cause i dont have a gay window and the tower is under the desk, but sometimes it shimmers through ^^

seems like palit offers an tool to change/fix and deactivate the leds. have to check that out later. only though the gamerock cards had those leds, but seems the jetstreams too

My board blew when I connected the new 1070 card to it, after three days of usage, this card has to draw some big amount of power directly through the board. I sent the card and the psu to get checked, they are under warranty (6 days) and can't touch those, the board I sent to my friend, if it can be fixed he will do it. Sad I fucking hate this. In all my years of assembling comps this was the first time that something like this happened. Sad

I just got word it was the PSU, it was a freak thing because Corsair RM850i is a good PSU, i will rma it today, The board and everything else is ok.

The thing is that It shorted and started burning until I turned it off, but I couldn't determine which component shorted, it was weird, nothing smelled of burning electronics.

then buy a "better fitting" one, 850watt is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. 500-550 is more than enough for single gpu system and doenst waste so much energy with not working with best efficiency

you have to buy a new one either way and sell the one you will get back from rma, rma will take some weeks most likely either way

I do need a big PSU, Graphic card is not the only thing that draws power in my comp, I have much more connected to it. Wink

All the leads on this PSU were used (ex. pcie)so no I don't need less.

My power usage goes up to 650W so it is ok. Had Enermax liberty 650W before this, but the graphic card was not such a power hog.
