midnight unlock here in the UK, which means in about 5 hours or so - pity im on a night shift tonight
But you will be alive tomorrow right? Or your job is like 50/50 chance to survive the shift? Do you work for Umbrella Corp. or as a cameraman filming spooky houses?

lol, nah i think ill be safe enough, i work as IT support for a convenience retail group here in the UK
when there is no more room in hell, the D34D will walk the earth
It was alright. Nice atmosphere, decent performance, graphics have too much temporal aliasing unless you enable TAA which makes the game blurry as hell.
I like the way they went this time. Not really a RE fan but I like Amnesia and such.
However, I'm not a fan of having to play the demo over and over again to find the "true ending" or whatever. They simply don't give you the items you need on the first playthrough.
So after having played the demo it's very clear to me that this game would be amazing in VR. Such a shame it'll likely be PSVR exclusive (either temp or permanently)...
I think i read somewhere some time ago, that it will at least have Vive support. But it would only be several months after release.
Can't find the source for it anymore though.

im not a fan of having to 'know' where stuff is in order to find it, when its impossible to come across it organically... if the full game is like that, its going to be stupid as shit.
i also think its a little TOO scripted... like a doll falling down when its literally NOWHERE to be seen before the event is triggered, or that note you read after viewing the tape (unless when you watch a movie, you are SUPER focused on it and dont notice someone walking into the room and putting something down right next t you )
anyway... i died. im not sure if i should have pressed on or done what i did
Spoiler:
go back and try to kill the monster
but i failed, and i died. ugh. controller is just super shit for aiming things for me.
anyway... visually i liked what i saw, and it had some neat interactivity - i hope the game is full of that stuff... just a lil too far in the scripted stuff for my tastes.
well as i said, i cant aim for shit with the controller so it was impossible for me... no idea with the mouse though, but i have to assume its way easier.
well for atmospheric games like soma, alien isolation, etc, i prefer the gamepad because it lets me kinda lean back and get a better experience.. plus the rumble feature
but yeah, ugh, when they throw shooting into the mix as a primary mechanic, it all goes to hell

why, it's even more immersive that way, your aim becomes as bad as that of a horror movie character
Goddamnit, talk about being a cocktease. Showing little contents and putting them inside a matrioska structure, you can't get more Evil than that
I did like what I played, the atmosphere and presentation are well done in my opinion (in an Outlast-ish way), and the engine is a decent one. With everything maxed out though, the game requires >4GB of video memory, and in order to avoid stutters, with the 970 I had to settle for a mix between V-High and High at 1080p/60fps/TAA with magic sharpen through Reshade.
The problem is, this demo doesn't tell us much really. It's practically...a single setpiece, or perhaps, the whole game is? xD We shall find it in mid 2017 when we'll get the Yarr Edition, I guess.
