@Morphineus
The conversation was about having 2 players on the same console both play online at the same time, i.e. split-screen. In that situation from my own experience it appears you both need to have an account with active PSN plus subscription.
If you are talking about just wanting to play a 2 player game locally, then no, you don't need anything.
I don't play consoles for the online multiplayer, this is just what I found when I tried it once with Rocket League when a mate was over.
What is the point of that video? My original PS4 had issues too, but they weren't 'PS4 issues', they were defects. All they need to do is take it back and get a new one. The same for a GPU, CPU, HDD or whatever else.
Something manufactured in the millions has some defects every now and then - excellent work Sherlock.
What if i told you, that i traded in my first Pro (with crazy issues) for other two new Pro´s, and guess what:
Same issues.
What if i told you, that people send them back to Sony, and they came in with the same problems?
I see new youtube videos, new posts on playstation official and neogaf forum every single day about these crazy issues with the PS4 Pro.
This is not isolated, or a minority. This is a big problem with the construction of the PS4 Pro.
PS4 had the DS4 thumbstick problems or the ejecting discs.
Sony fucking sucks with quality control, they suck.
Imagine paying 399€ for new eletronic product that is not cheap and get this crazy issues.
I never seen anything like this, ever.
My original PS4 had both the ejecting disc problem + the thumbsticks
I took the front rubber leg thing off the front and the ejecting was fixed, and subsequent DS4s no longer had the same issue
Yeah, but you still had to FIX it. I know it`s nothing picking that thing off but still, you as the consumer had to technically modify their product physically for it to work as it should.
Btw i had the same issue and removing it worked for like two hours and then it all went to hell and it would not accept disc`s anymore
I`m on my 4th PS4 now, the newest of them before slim and it`s been perfect so far. But we`ll se....
no ejecting problem here, first ps4 ever released. thumbstick problem of the controller? maybe, i have really soon after release and first mentions about problem with the sticks bought some of the condoms for the sticks (and actually like it cause it felt the original rubberstuff was too small)
My Pro has no issues whatsoever either, for what it's worth. I did hear of some consoles overheating and even melting, but it doesn't seem to be a very widespread problem - I don't personally know anyone with a faulty console, or even anyone who'd know anyone and I do know quite a few people who decided to switch to Pro once it lanuched.
has sony fucked up again? a friend just called me cause he wanted to play fifa with his little cousin online and asked me if he could just use my acc which is saved on his console for the second controller as guest player. i said ofc, why not, doenst change anything
2 min later he called again -> doesnt work. he signed in correctly with the first controller on his ps+ account, started the game etc.logged in the second controller like always and pressed add guest in fifa. psn screen pops up and says ps plus subscription needed for online play! wtf? only the main account was needed to be ps plus acc (we played 2 weeks ago the last time), so sony is greedy and changed that and now every account must be ps plus (mine has no plus subscription cause i havent played anything online in the last months)?
Played Fifa 16 online yesterday with my friend. I have only 1 acc with playstation plus, added him as guest. No problems.
It could be that your friend has opened the second controller and didnt go back to the first controller. Thus trying to go online with the 2nd controller and experiencing that problem.
only the Slim is fault less for now... then Pro ... that even has a faulty power brick that can melt the plastic case (20 cases or more where reported with this) ...and its sli gpu configuration has serious fps issues with games that where developed for its base model (from in DigitalFoundry that tested like all games on it)
Still remember those first PS4s ... not soldered HDMI , faulty HDD , broken BD drive , broken BT , p4 pad analogues made from cheap toxic plastic that just crumbled after it was affected by human sweat ... the CUH-1112A was a blast ... that was only saved by the third incarnation named CUH-1216B (CUH-1215A was still shit) ...
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks like it's back on for a March release, alongside the launch of Nintendo Switch - at least in Japan and North America.
But what about Europe? The situation here is less clear.
Funny people are buying this for Zelda when Zelda is coming out on Wii U, which can be easily pirated....
But I guess you guys want to get it for other games...
Hopefully.. We don't know if the new Zelda game on the Wii-U will be on a newer firmware or not. I still wonder why they're not bothered to fix the exploits.. Oh well Nintendo never change never change . Well I sure hope they won't bother fixing it lol xD.
why wasting time and money to fix old stuff which is completely broken? they wouldnt make better sales if they force a new os update with completely updated security stuff on the old ass wii u (which could cracked again instantly again)
