no backwards compatibilty for wii u (kinda obvious cause it has no drive) but also not for 3ds cartridges. that means most likely the cartridges will look very different and ofc their want to make money with their overpriced virtual console bullshit
at first ofc even the 3ds backwars compatibilty doenst make sense, but i think there are a lot of people how would loved to play their 3ds games on a tv screen
3ds games are 3D (400×240 per eye) and there are two screens, i doubt it would work well on a regular TV.. we will probably see some remakes though, which makes far more sense..
There won't be any backwards compatibility it's not possible since it's entirely new hardware this time (previous hardware was always based on it's predecessor) unless it's digital only and emulated/ported and in the past Ninty charged again every time for that.

Apparently Switch has 4gb of RAM - half that of X1/PS4. So much for the switch being on par with that 3 year old tech and everything.
Looking forward to the pro. Not pre-ordered it myself as I am going to wait to find out how it improves 1080p gaming (if at all). I will get a 4k TV in the new year so will get one then if not sooner.

It would've never been, even with 8gb. There's no way a battery-powered passively-cooled device can compare to even low-end machines like ps4/xbone (not unless the battery lasts, like, 10 minutes )
jeez, now it looks as it should..there are more fine tutorials on the net, but this is easy and it looks a lot better...and I was wondering why some games look alot darker for example The Last Of Us. Silly Samsung and their firmware updates, recently they fucked up home menu with new 1150 FW. It was so laggy and slow, and I thought I fucked the TV somehow.

Wow. Thanks a lot. I knew there was something off.
What a clusterfuck. Will setup everything on the weekend when my new receiver comes in tho.
has sony fucked up again? a friend just called me cause he wanted to play fifa with his little cousin online and asked me if he could just use my acc which is saved on his console for the second controller as guest player. i said ofc, why not, doenst change anything
2 min later he called again -> doesnt work. he signed in correctly with the first controller on his ps+ account, started the game etc.logged in the second controller like always and pressed add guest in fifa. psn screen pops up and says ps plus subscription needed for online play! wtf? only the main account was needed to be ps plus acc (we played 2 weeks ago the last time), so sony is greedy and changed that and now every account must be ps plus (mine has no plus subscription cause i havent played anything online in the last months)?
I've only ever tried rocket league spit screen which would have been over 2 months ago and when the second player tried to join, they needed a psn subscription. I don't know if fifa was different but for me it was has been like this for a while.
na it worked 2 weeks ago just like always (since psplus is needed on ps3), and it most likely hasnt said you need a psn subscription but a psn account. if the second account is local acc it doenst work
you always needed ps plus on the primary console acc, nothing more. every other user was able to play online or join splitscreen multiplayer games with the main acc (or any other acc on the console)
Delayed response but I had the paid subscription already, he needed to also have it for the second account to join split screen. We both needed psn plus to play together
Wait wut? You have to have different accounts when you play with 2 players and you have to have a paid subscription on both?
I'm really hoping I'm retarded and understanding it wrong because the alternative would be that people really are idiots and will swallow everything on console.
