What about the story?

I didn't think too much of the story. the lore and the setting are well crafted, but the story is nothing to write home about. think the DLC's from the first game, that's what it basically is, witches, magical paintings, and corvo on a revenge path out of love. Honor, empire throne, benevolent rulers vs totally evil rulers, power to the people, a spoon full of naiveté and romanticism; it's a bit cheesy from a perspective of an anti authoritarian. it doesn't interfere with the game's quality though.

I found it wonderful how they crafted the world. from the ship hub, you can see levels you visited and will visit. basically the whole game world is always visible from a vantage point. On the in game maps, you see the whole region, and it feels almost as if the whole world existed, kinda like elder scrolls games, where regions in previous games you could see on the map were used in later games. So that part is well crafted and makes up for the paper thin plot.

The game's a total work of art. the amount of amazing paintings you can see, the architecture, the interior design. it's all so well put together, it looks absolutely real, despite the stylistic approach. The immersion factor is through the roof.

together with the awesome gameplay design in both the stealth and combat, the hud customizations, and the very robust AI, the game is much better than the original for me. The crack in the slab level that I already mentioned, is among the best video game levels I've played.

As usual, you or ANYONE wanting to play it, feel free to contact me, I can share my account so you can grab a denuvo license and play in offline mode.

@Drowning_witch: yes I saw your generous offer in various threads, but I was under the impression that license gives you a limited time to play until it needs to be activated again. I'm a very slow player, so it'll probably take me weeks to finish the game. Can I play the game in offline mode indefinitely after activation?

i think it's a while; 2 weeks to a month at least (no one yet told me their license expired), but I try to keep the pass to the account unchanged until the people i'm actively sharing with are done, so at any point if it does happen, you can do a quick trip into the online mode. it's no hassle for me in any case.

of all the denuvo games I have, this is probably the one I want people to experience the most. it's a thief fan's fap material Smile

I tried doing a second playthrough as well, but gave up. 56 hours was enough for now. Smile

I finished my first playthrough in like 40 hours tops including AFK time. The 2nd playthrough took less than 10 hours. The last achievement I have left is finishing the game without powers. Gonna try to squeeze a review in-between the end of the year articles. Razz

New Game+ doesn't mean you get all powers from both chars on one character. It only means that everything is unlocked. Marked it in bold so there's no misunderstanding here.

To avoid using the CE variant just because you "dream" of using a legit way that won't be happening, is just silly.

Don't I feel silly now Wink

Seriously, though, this is what I was hoping for. Now, if only I could start a new game that way....

@Casus If you like to boast about making "the right guess", so be it. Instead of being salty you should be happy and cheerful they went out of their way and do the same the CE table does.

I didn't guess - I hoped. You didn't guess, you made a claim about something that couldn't happen.

The above is one way to react when you're proven wrong about something you called me silly for "dreaming about".

Not much different from your usual reaction to being wrong. You invent reactions that don't exist in order to make yourself feel better.

I'm salty, right? Wink

Haha, delicious.

In any case, I'm looking forward to trying this new patch out. You should be happy too, instead of being so salty about being silly.

@Casus So that's how you chose to react. Classy passive insults (and some shit psychology course by acting like you paid any attention to what I post) as per usual, while we're at it. Yet I'm "salty" Mr. Green Sure, make yourself believe that if you feel better. But, unlike you, I wouldn't have quoted your post with the update if the opposite was the case, so maybe, give that a thought Wink

I would never admit anything in front of a person like you. Not with this kind of nasty attitude.

Don't be so salty and just enjoy life Wink

Being wrong and not being a man about it isn't a big deal. Also, you don't have to admit it - why would you? We both know it - and it doesn't mean anything. We're all wrong here and there. The difference is that some people can own up to it, and you can't.

Should we get back to topic now?

You derailed it in the first place. I doubt that you know what being a real man is like. Like I said, the sole reason you chose to post the quote already says a lot about you, more than it does about me Smile But keep up the great insults and you may be rewarded sometime.

As a general warning, no more personal poking/pot-stirring guys (you know who Razz), it doesn't lead to anything useful and only pollutes the thread with unnecessary grudges that no one wants to read (I can 100% guarantee you that xD).
If you really can't tolerate each other, try to use the ignore button, or whatever Jedi mental trick is necessary to avoid such clashes. Thanks Dude Wink

Thanks to Drowning_witch I could test the game a bit.

But now the game is showing in my OWN library as playable. What kind of explosions am I to expect if I start it again, being online, from my own account / library?

As a side note, I love the game. Would buy it, but 33 Euro is a bit too much atm.

Will buy it at ~20 Euro.
