IMO, they don't want people getting the idea that the 480 is crap because the fx series CPU can't feed it properly. They should be recommending an I7 actually, but that throws the budget part out of the equation.

We need Intel to get into dedicated graphics cards. Or take the next step with some APUs that have gfx performance close to a midrange gfx card.
Maybe Intel can buy the Radeon brand and patents and AMD can keep their slowass CPU business.
We need some competition, men.

They'll be fine, Intel just made a deal with amd to use their gpu tech fir Intel's igpu. Looks like Intel wants to give up the graphic shit |

iirc there was no official confirmation of that deal
BUT if you need to license your stuff to your biggest rival which has a way better position in the market -> you are fucked already and simply need that money to survive the next months. if thats true and and zen + vega arent real improvements (which it sadly still looks like) amd will be dead by the end of 2017
intel wouldnt do that without having their own stuff in mind, they dont need more powerful igpus at all. they want the power over amd

nothing really worth it, just some "leaked" benchmarks from ashes of singularity. and thats no surprise cause thats the only game which acted always in favor of amd. showed a good performance boost though, but a bad sign that it is again only that shitty rts "leaked" benchmark

they won't suck. it's just tough to compete on all fronts with the current market share discrepancy and the huge r&d money difference. IMO, it will depend on how widespread dx12 and vulkan become and how soon that happens.
