No they have more experience than DerpWood and have largely put out a decent product for centuries (High Gothic literature as example) -- they have their reasons on this "delay" so go watch the myriad of other shows to pass the time while we wait as, gawd forbid, there aren't remotely enough distractions already. Christmas special was very nice. I hope the trailer at the end didn't do the new girl justice, I really don't like her.

Yep, I enjoyed the Christmas special too. Very Happy Little cheesy, but eh, it was good. Fits the occasion well.

The season 10 teaser looks good as well. Not sure about the new companion, but so far I have liked them all. Maybe she will surprise.

Can't wait.

She's not a bad character overall. Written just like every other companion... mouthy... on ritalin...
just the introduction was putrid.

Though if every 'case' happens to be a 'cute' girl the companion falls for... it'll grow stale. As it is in this episode.

I wouldn't mind a female doctor. Just write the character and cast a woman. Don't force that it's a woman. Should be a doctor regardless of gender.

Jack Harness was a well written character. Him liking dick was never really a UGH it's forced!

Our source revealed: "Kris Marshall has already joined the cast and will regenerate at the end of this series, not in the Christmas special.

Kris Marshall rumoured to be the next Doctor! Personally I lost interest in Doctor Who after Christopher Ecclestone who I thought was the best one but Kris Marshall could be just as great Smile

May the NFOrce be with you always.

I have only seen Kris Marshall in Death In Paradise and he is ok in that role but not sure I can see him as the Doctor. A female Doctor would have been a more interesting choice but hopefully he changes companions when he regenerates.

I thought the new companion would annoy me but she was okay. Ep was average. Looking forward to this season though the preview looked interesting.

Yeah, the story was just average. Also the companion was ok so far, kinda weird at some points, but brilliant at others ("People don't generally bring that up..." grinhurt).

Also, was that Marshall at the end of the season preview?

The Doctor's 3 knocks on the door in the space station from this episode reminded me of the vault knocking at the end of ep 3.

Wonder if it's the Doctor in there.

I think Bill has been great so far, miles better than Clara. She seems like an actual person and the chemistry with the Doctor is definitely there. It's just that the stories in the first four eps of this season have been pretty lackluster, with "Knock Knock" being comically bad. I really enjoyed "Oxygen" though.

Meh. Yet another case of every powerful dramatic scene being retroactively ruined by a cop-out. I know I shouldn't really expect much from Doctor Who in that regard, but it would've been nice if things had actual consequences for a change.

Well it's Doctor Who, the end to every story is bullshit. Is Capaldi leaving the show decided for certain? They still haven't announced the new Doctor.
