If there is a competitive mode, then I must play it. If I play it, I must give it my best shot. If I give it my best shot, I better make sure my shots are good, and train ... etc.
Sadly, they know exactly how this works psychologically, and it works like a charm on me . Because it is fun, and competing is fun.
I tried Dad 76, Pharah, the butch lesbo with the pink hair, Widowmaker and McCree, 76, McCree and Widowmaker are my favorites so far.
Still tinkering with the sensitivity to improve consistency, but to my surprise I wasn't missing that many shots, despite a long break from shooters. Those generous hit boxes sure help.
Maybe I'll buy it and aim pracc hard like a no-lifer, we'll see.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Overwatch's Winter Wonderland seasonal content is now live Adds new mode: Mei's Snowball Offensive.
Quote:
Blizzard has just launched its seasonal holiday content for Overwatch with a Winter Wonderland event that will remain live through 2nd January.
Winter Wonderland not only decks the halls of Hanamura and King's Row, but it changes regular old Loot Boxes into festive Winter Loot Boxes, each containing at least one of over 100 season-specific cosmetic items. The holiday adornments (profile icons, sprays, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, skins, and more) can only be earned during the next three weeks, though they'll stay in your collection forever.
Arguably Winter Wonderland's main event is the new brawl Mei's Snowball Offensive, a 6v6 single-elimination mode that changes Mei's powers. In Snowball Offensive Mei's Endothermic Blaster now shoots a super-powered snowball that can defeat anyone in a single hit, but it requires finding a new pile of snow to reload. Mei's Ultimate has also been rejigged, now turning her blaster into a semi-automatic snowball gun.

the skins are lame now.. but the event is more fun.. not to mention not as hard as the Halloween.. (here i managed to get all the achievements.. wohoo)
I just hope we soon will get some real coop modes (no, not those 6vs6 AI matches).
I enjoyed the Halloween event more too.
Only played the winter one once for the lootbox.

Overwatch has generated more than $500 million revenue on PC in 2016
Quote:
According to the research by Superdata, Overwatch has been the most successful PC game of 2016. The company has analyzed the market of premium games (for a fee, then) for computer, discovering how the title of Blizzard has grossed more than other giants like Minecraft and Counter-Strike Global Offensive.
According to a recently published report by the agency Superdata, which deals with market research in the game industry, Overwatch would be the most profitable title of 2016 on PC, including only those with an economic “classic” method, in direct sales. I am thus excluding free-to-play, that definitely would change the situation slightly.
Superdata speaks of revenue of 585.6 million dollars for the Hero Shooter of Blizzard, about 10% of the total market for PC games, totaled 5.4 billion dollars divided among Europe (2.7 billion) and North America (1.8 billion).
In second place in the ranking of the most profitable PC games of the year is Counter-Strike Global Offensive with 257.2 million dollars, followed by Guild Wars 2 (91 million), Minecraft (88.7 million) and Fallout 4 (74.9 million).
As one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2016, Overwatch takes stock of its first year of existence by the voice of the director Jeff Kaplan, who also mentioned some of the 2017 program.
Interesting. Guild Wars 2 as third most profitable game? Is that some kind of error? Game is okay, but I have hard time believing it's that profitable.
The in-game shop covers all sorts of things without totally unbalancing the game so I can see the game making quite a profit from that and of course the fact that you can turn money into store currency and store currency into (Quite a bit of.) money.
