Sure it might be good but that don't make all the hipster bullcrap disappear

Well there's a optional high-res texture pack "DLC" too so that will probably add a bit to file size even if it's unlikely to be 60+ GB.
(For some of these ~10 hour shooter games that's a little bit hefty, particularly if there's bandwidth limits or monthly data caps as those are still not fully eliminated from the world yet.)
Finally a game that is not 80gb
But at the same time it's not steam so whatever

If someone wants to play on release, I can share both my steam and uplay logins for it. I don't plan on being online in steam for a whole week so you would have no bother from me kicking you out of the game
Crazy, running this on High, the first area isn't in San Fran, but if this keeps up later on, this may be a very well optimized game. The options are already fairly well done.

Yeah the prologue/tutorial ran pretty well, couldn't continue past that though as it's downloading a certain texture pack and that's going to take a while over a VPN.
(About an hour or so left of that.)
A bit early to judge the game but after a few seconds you'll get the feel for your "elite" friends, Ubisoft has been researching every damn meme on the internet it would seem...
(All the way back to at least the "cow level" of Diablo 1...holy crap I'm getting old seeing how I recognized that, ha ha.)
VPN just isn't working out for me, and I can't figure out why. Ubi's website redirects me to the proper countries, but Uplay doesn't budge from "Preloaded".
To test it out I even moved the game elsewhere, uninstalled Uplay, and reinstalled it while connected with the VPN. And Uplay simply gave me the option to Preload, not to download/install.
I tried India and Singapore, the two that people recommend the most, with two different VPN. Guess I'm just fucked.
Not sure which exact territories have the game unlocked but it does seem to differ between Steam and UPlay complicating things a bit. (I don't see New Zealand or Australia on Steam's list of unlocked territories but those work with UPlay.) though what I'm using at the moment is Taiwan.
