So, supposedly once upon a time Seyter decided to punish those reuploading his repacks but he hasn't been doing it for a while now? Laughing The fact remains: His Rustorka repacks are safe and when checked by all kinds of malware detection software they find nothing. And they get unpacked much faster than fitgirl's repacks.

btw her releases also get infected. So it's just the matter of downloading from a trusted source.

Can't seem to get freesync working with this. It's smoothish but I get tears. Do some games just not work well with gsync/freesync? I'm new to all this fancy vsync tech and still don't know whether to enable vsync ingame or not, or if it even matters at all Embarassed
Works fine in most games I try without ingame vsync on. I mean it's hardware based isn't it?... I need to do some reading Laughing

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Holy shit I am shocked how good this game looks. Much better than on yt videos...

I am running ultra settings here 1080p and the game runs about 45-50. So Just disable contact hardening shadows and bum. 60+ most of time. I find that turning shadows to very high gives same fps boost but I think that disabling contact hardening shadows has less visual impact.

and image quality is SUPER impressive. not a single jaggies. And that is without their useless msaa.
temporall aa together with their sharpening works wonders and gives a look that really works for this game. wow... I got new gpu in the nick of time Laughing

edit: I should clarify it is in benchmark and dubai. I have not finished tutorial yet

what a suprise..
not even started a game and allready you see the "port" porblems..

wrong aspect ratio, everything is smashed, argh..

BUT, we happy few are pc gamers, arent we.. we fix this shit ourselves Smile

Quote:
If anyone cares or not I was able to fix my aspect ratio issue in Exclusive Fullscreen. Now I can play without issue.

I fixed my issue with the aspect ratio in Exclusive Fullscreen.

Just Run regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos Montreal\Deus Ex: MD\Graphics\

Find AspectRatio and edit it set it to decimal

Take your aspect ratio and divide then multiply by 1000
For example the fix for my resolution of 1680x1050 (16:10) was to 16 divided by 10 = 1.6 X 1000 = 1600

Side affect is the pre-rendered movies and load screen will be letterboxed but game play is perfect.

Settings listed in the reg:

Hmm almost all of those minus the advanced DXGI and DX12 states should be available from the in-game options menu although the defaults might be incorrect.

Or I could just be remembering incorrectly again, haven't played the game in a while now so.

EDIT: I do remember aspect ratio being available though, I think?

It depends. You should check it for yourself. It might be worse..or it might be better than dx11 on your rig

There's no visual difference though one of the main things is that DX12 can help with CPU utilization (Don't expect any miracles though, 10 maybe 15% better performance at ideal conditions if even that.) and another advantage is that it manages memory a bit better but performance between the two should be fairly close on most systems.
(As it improves memory and video memory usage it usually also shows as using more RAM and VRAM but it's put to good use instead of just being cached or allocated by the game.)

There are other advantages as well but a bit more technical, flip cue commands and certain dxgi features are now mandatory instead of optional which can help.
(These particular examples improve windowed and borderless functionality somewhat, introduced with Windows 8 but optional until Win10 / DX12 far as I'm aware.)

EDIT: It took some three years for DX11 to get a bit of a foothold and this is more advanced so yeah probably some four if not more years before Vulkan and DirectX 12 maybe start seeing widespread usage outside of bigger licensed engines.
(UE4, Cry-Engine 5 and Unity 5 but even so it'll probably not be used too frequently by the developers licensing said engine, DX12 in particular is exclusive to Windows 10 only though on the other hand Vulkan and OpenGL are barely used at all on Windows these days but they're still around and Vulkan might perhaps make a difference as it improves and development continues with new features and other functionality enhancements.)
