good old diablo style games is great |
beside that, most of the 3d rpgs really don't add the great gameplay of the old's style 2d. And after all, ther are people who aren't able to spend money for new hardware just to view some fancy grahpics bur nothing more..

It's called progress.
Some of the better made 3D RPG's actually have a world for you to explore, rather then a few flat screens of terrain. You can see stuff in the distance that you can try to explore, it's fantastic.

Yeah I know that 3d graaphic game have fantastic graphic and full free explore...but 2d have 'this' magical something....

Yeah hand-drawn artwork.
I'm all for 2d, but rpgs dont sell that well, and a 2d rpg? Thats a guaranteed flop. They also take longer to develop because they are complete games in every sense, story, characters and gameplay. I can understand why we see so little of them, but its really a shame that it has to be that way.
Personally I would love to see a successor to the Inifity Engine.
