I'm counting on that too. Hopefully, the price will also drop from all the complaints and shit like Mafia 3 did.

the game is just too awesome.

played like 5 hours today, and i'm still on the karnaca docks mission. the AI is much more enjoyable for panther mode than in the first game, and the amount of both horizontal and vertical exploration is insane.

If it wasn't for the performance...

So Much Win Okay

Yep.
Don't care how good a games gameplay is, if the performance is so abyssmal. Laughing

Not gonna support that shit with a purchase too.
Will just patiently wait for the isodemo. Very Happy

Being a Bethesda game and that it probably sold well I don't count on more than 15% off by the Winter Sale, but that would be enough for me Smile

Yeah the video is pretty skillful again, hope he does more like in DH1 with Corvo Very Happy

Price of this already dropped to €29, can see it dropping a bit further until the patch is there. It's the Arkham Knight method, always works Mr. Green

On the bright side, such technicAAAl fuck ups often coincide with the impossibility to exercise the pirate bear profession, so waiting in the cave is more bearable when you know that it's a democratically shitty situation for everyone. Razz

I usually pirate everything first (with no distinction of pedigree, all are equal before the buccaneerish law Cool Face) and finish the games that I like, as long as they're not a bugged mess. Then after some time, when there's the adequate Gabesale, the bear happily goes shopping.
Cases like this one are more delicate though, the great game+terrible performance+D combo is possibly the worst one for the bear, but we shall not fear, with the Dishonored.2.Brightmore.Drowning.Witch-BRE.iso Very Happy

Imo any game that doesn't run properly is a shitty game, it doesn't matter the art direction, level design, enemy ai or anything else. A not shitty game has to have all that and run like a dream, that's a game that doesn't 'deserve the CPY option

That's a very shitty way to see it, especially for games where the performance got fixed.

Hence, why many of us are waitng for it to run properly and not being shitty anymore Laughing

I'm aware that's not guaranteed to happen, though, but waiting is win-win.

IF the performance gets fixed and I can enjoy the other great parts of the game, then yeah I guess it's worth buying. But I haven't seen until now a developer that doesn't say that they will address the problem with a upcoming patch (whatever the problem is, optimization, mouse acceleration,... You name it) and not being able to sorth out their shit or make the situation even worse. I can't understand and do not overlook the fact that you release a game that doesn't perform. Years ago games used to "go gold" now they get released and maybe, a few months later they get to that stage.

@banish
That's AAA games for you.

Lately many of those devs don't really seem to care anymore to optimize for performance. Seeing how still enough derps and fanboys keep buying their games why should they waste ressources on something minor like that? Embarassed

Good one! Nice to know that I am not the only 'nutcase' taking so much time exploring...

I sometimes play Witcher 3 just to sight-see, kill some mobs, wander around in Novigrad, play some Gwent, fish some treasure and then log off. Very Happy

BTW, how's the game performing overall after the latest patch?

Yeah Edge of the World took a while (No power mode here.) since reaching some of the open windows and other vertical exploration while listening to conversations or just trying to steal stuff and avoid detection (Low chaos for this run so little to no killing.) though it took only three or so hours for me meaning about five hours in total so far. Very Happy
(Some few gold coins somewhere got missed but I found everything else and the money allowed me to purchase most of the current available upgrades too.)

i settled on playing@ the high preset, which is 2 notches from max settings, +HBAO, -DOF, and I get constant 50-60 fps@1920x1200 in the edge of the world level, which is the most demanding in game supposedly. same as before the patch for me really, no change except there is less negative free look acceleration now.

the game still looks very good that way.

 Spoiler:

It was never really unplayable for me, I am just very anal about constant 60 fps and the fact that consoles centric development is turning constant 60 fps into a NASA PC, ritchie rich luxury, when it should be the mainstream standard.

Royal Conservatory will murder your fps harry is right Laughing Also a Crack in the Slab will murder your fps. Most likely you will be getting around 30-40 fps when using the Timepiece.
