What a dumbass review. They said it's basically better then RCT 3 but, failed to disclose why it's not that great...

Seems like there is very little content in the game. Well then, gonna check it out in next year cause I'm quite confident Frontier won't release any new free content. Frist paid DLC probably is already in the works, so fuck them Smile

... review-in-progress... tf... is this something we've got to put up with from now on?

So they want clicks for pre-views, reviews-in-progress and finally they want clicks for their final verdict? Nice. Very nice. From now on we should just printscreen or quote their entire pieces and not visit their site more than the time it takes to grab their articles.

Yup, and they edited that one quickly, after the remarks in comments Laughing They HAD reviewed it, and gave it a score of 70, but it's now a review-in-progress, lol.

This is now at top explaining why...

Quote:
If you're just noticing that this is now an unscored review-in-progress, there is a note at the top explaining. The simple truth is that we messed up and overlooked the new features coming at launch, publishing the review too soon.

The negative reviews on steam tell the story:

It's a pretty game, a nice builder, but a shit tycoon game.

People mention doing very little and getting more money than they know what to do with.

Some people don't feel there is enough stuff in the game either, and performance is bad.

Pretty much where i am at Sad ... god bless for family-sharing (and denuvo for keeping my money away.)
From what I tried so far the game seems to be amazing for fans of simply creative building. For people like me, who like some actual challenge and tycoon aspect of those games there's not really much to offer. Shame Sad
Love me som creative building but without the challenge its just "once and done" kind of deal

Have you tried challenge mode? With very limited amount, you have to lot of difficult task.

Also, the career mode gets harder as you progress. I'm at the 3rd scenario and it's basically a -10k loan, incomplete coaster, no rides, less than 100 guests and whatnot.

Lacks some basic shops/stuff, yeah, but I'm hoping they will add it soon. The workshop is great to personalize your park, though.

My 9 hours passed so quick I didn't even notice. It's fun and relaxing. Smile

It's not just one, but this game suffers from some of the worst fanboism I've seen so far.

Im really enjoying it. Enjoy the challenge when I want to try to achieve a goal and manage the park like RTC3.
but 75% of my time is in sandbox. Avoiding look at anything in the workshop as I dont want to be tempted to "click and place" pre-made things Smile

My space part of my park (literally all I have in the park for an area so far:

And my entrance Im working on.

I like my tycoon games to require thinking and strategy - from the sound of it, this is more a sandbox building game. I came close to buying it last night but then saw it has Denuvo and I boycott all Denuvo games so no buy for me for now ...

That's the problem when you see these theme park titles in development... I think more are focusing on the building aspect/creativity and while that is great... it's not the reason why I played them. All that building should be a bonus on top of a good sim.

Performance is great on my ancient rig even with a lot rides and guests.
Yes it's more of a builder than a strategic micromanagement game but that doesn't mean it's a shit tycoon game.
Though I know you have experience in these kind of games and I respect your opinion you're nitpicking a lot. Last year you said Cities Skylines was crap...

Wait what, MrCross doesn't speak for everyone??

I like the game btw, the scenery builder is a bit awkward, and the coaster builder is a touch frustrating (can't move sections of track separately) - but assuming they add more scenery themes (and don't charge stupid money for them) - I can see this being pretty good.

Turn snapping off for coaster building, its WAY easier. Can move each piece exactly where you want it and the roll the exact degree you wish. Of all the Roller coaster games I think this one has by far the best control over the coaster creation as far as getting parts EXACTLY where you want.
Your not using the premades and trying to adjust them are you? You building it from scratch from the custom tab?
I managed to make this clusterfuck with it:
