Everyone interested probably already knows, but Sombra is on PTR now as well as arcade mode which replaces brawls in the menu. Server is a bit unstable right now.
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/sombra/
Offense character, has a throwable translocator, 15sec invisibility with added speed, hacking other players so it disables their abilities while the EMP ultimate is line of sight aoe roughly the size of the pit in Illios and disables all shields/abilities. She uses a machine pistol. Wants to be Fedorova from Deus Ex with the augmented skin but is afraid to admit it.
Arcade mode was also added to PTR
1v1 is fun and I hope they add it to custom mode too so we can actually play against friends. Each round is a different random hero but same for both players, first to 5 is the winner.
3v3 is also nice, the team composition is locked for that one round and only one life per round since it's elimination. Both of these happen on the new small Ecopoint Antarctica map. First team to take 3 rounds is the winner.
No Limits is oldplay, the no hero limit quickplay mode is now a mode here while quickplay has a one hero limit.
Brawl playlist is a random set of brawls they had before
3 wins in arcade give a lootbox, max 3 times each week. Playing a newly added mode to the arcade rewards a one-time lootbox.
Oasis will be a new KOTH type map and is coming to PTR in december, as well as Symmetra changes.
It's likely the PTR-to-Live will happen next week, the Oni Genji event skin through playing Heroes of The Storm also starts from next week and Jeff also said "mid November eta" on adding the voices Mercy and Junkrat use for the Halloween skins for ult. In case someone is near level 100 better get over it soon since after PTR changes go into live all levels will be 20k exp (is 22k atm), no more easy levels after a promotion.
Blizzard’s popular team-based shooter, Overwatch, is going to be free to play on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One during the weekend of Nov. 18-21.
During the free weekend, players will have access to all 22 heroes and 13 maps that are available to play, including Quick Play, Custom Games and the Weekly Brawl. For new players interested in picking up the game after the free weekend trial is over, any progress made during the three-day period will carry over once purchased.
Players will be also be able to play four different game modes: Assault, Escort, Assault/Escort and Control. Each mode takes place in a variety of cities or locations, with all modes and maps supporting 12 players in a 6v6 format. Unfortunately, it appears that Blizzard won’t be offering Competitive Mode to players trying the game out during the three day period.
Those interested in trying out Overwatch for the weekend will need a PlayStation Plus membership, Xbox Live Gold membership or Battle.net account to play. According to Blizzard, the download file will be approximately 12 GB in size. The free period will kick off at 11 a.m. PT on Nov. 18 and end at 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 21.
That's the reason I stopped playing. It was a lot of fun during launch, but slowly it got rage inducing.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Bob that's because the children then are in bed and the mature players are playing then.
It's in other games to from 20u-23u or so you have the best games, in the weekend it's like they opened a new can of braindead zombies that invade I think.
But i still must have such bad luck, to lose at those high numbers on weekends.
It's not like only out of all players can get those zombies all the time.

the way their system works just makes it so you have too many players at ranks/sr rating that they do not belong at.
it should not be possible for a 3450 near master player to carry a 2450 gold player in a 2950 rated match (near diamond), that player will either drag the whole team down, or get carried and drag the whole team down later when he solo que's at a rank he doesn't belong at.
they really need to lower the disparity between teammembers, max 400 rating, not 1000 like it is now.
the only "downside" is that you won't be able to play with your much crappier playing friends in ranked mode anymore, which i don't really consider a downside.
honestly that is one of the biggest flaws in their rating system and responsible for a lot of the zombie/tard issues in teams, there are simply too many people at a rating they do not belong at thanks to boosting from better players.
It is basically infuriating, when I know I play well compared to my SR, and I get teamed with guys, who can't understand basic comps, everyone wants to be DPS, but they can't aim for shit, etc. And ELO hell is simply hell. At around 2500, where I am, it's full of people who have absolutely no idea. I use mic to coordinate, please, beg, am friendly, etc. For most people it doesn't work, they go off alone and die 1v5. That is so common, it makes me insane.
And then you have people who try to play McRee with accuracy of 32% ... okay, sure. Phukoff.
@l0newolf
They are tweaking the ranking system with season 3 a bit.
Let's see how that will do.

That's why i mostly only play support, or Reinhard.
But sadly many people indeed don't care how they perform in ranked.
Every often i get that complete noob Widow or Hanzo that can't hit shit. I mean it's not that bad if you are not so skilled, but ffs then don't play a DPS class.
I took a break from competitive to sort out my aiming. I played a lot of DPS in my life, and am a good shot, but not good enough. I played too high sensitivity - 3.6 cm / 360. Just for reference, most pros play at round 25-30 cm / 360. Even the highest pros play with around 9-10 cm / 360 at the least. So, I bought a mouse and retrained myself the past couple of weeks to 8.6 cm / 360. I will lower it further still. I now main McRee and am really decent with it.
I decided I will play DPS in next competitive season. I like playing tanks, but in this game DPS are the ones with the smallest margin for error, and I am completely bored of how the randoms I get just rarely do the job. If a Mercy gets in the line of sight of McRee, and Mercy isn't dead in 3-4 seconds, no matter how far or how good she moves, then that McRee needs to switch to Symmetra, because he can't aim for shit.
