Don't say that! Vermintide was almost dead on arrival because of the terrible loot system and the lack of enemies that made everything so repetitive in a matter of hours.

Have they improved those aspects in Vermintide?

It's still updated and they just released another big update a short while ago for Vermintide and then some fixes (Latest one was released a little bit earlier today.) but I don't think the loot system is all that changed though it might be possible to get something that you want a bit easier now.

The loot system was a bit improved, but you still fight the same 4-5 models of Skaven, no bosses, nothing new in this matter.

Don't forget the retarded and unstable peer2peer matchmaking.

It was dead on arrival because it's an Indie studio with almost 0 marketing. There weren't that many people playing from the get go. The game was also brutal hard and needed friends to play because pubbies are fucking trash at working as a team. This wasn't like L4D where you could almost get away with being a commando and the team of 3 could still manage.

None the less, have a new video

Vermintide is definitely not a bad game, Deathwing has a lot of similarities to it. It was dependent on team play and sticking together like l4d. It has it's issues but I have had a lot of fun with it. But hopefully Deathwing will be better Smile

Having to register, get the key via the forums + needing to supply them with your Steam account is like two hoops too many for me to bother.

If there's no progression/armor/character customization in multiplayer I'm not interested in the long run in any case. What a fumble if they release this without the option for people to customize, and even organize; and to see leader boards and so forth for completing the missions etc.

Running through the missions; no more no less; might be fun the first few times but without any incentives to supplement that experience it'll die quicky in terms of the mainstream.

@EternalBlueScreen
I just wanted to register in case this might have Denuvo. So i at least could have tried the game and then decide if the isodemo-wait or even a purchase will be worth it.

But meh, fuck this.

Some lame attempt to make their forums relevant, I guess. Sending the key as an email was too easy.

I'll have to rely on Youtube/twitch and feedback from other gamers.

Steam pre-order players are invited to join our upcoming Beta tests. Starting next week, we will invite a limited number of pre-order players to join a closed technical beta.

The goal is to help us gather technical feedback and make sure our servers can put up with an important number of players. We need to make sure our technical foundations are solid enough before starting to gather your feedback on the gameplay.

So you have to

pre-order
register on forums
receive key via forums
supply your steam account

for a CHANCE at joining the "technical" beta.

KALOL. Its like watching a dead body floating in still water.

I guess you could pre-order it, and once you've jumped the hoops; and they've checked your Steam account for the pre-order; you can refund it and still try the test version. Assuming you're among the players selected.

my friend got inside and he tells me the ragdoll for the corpse it's utterly shit, like dark soul. Sad
loadings on a mechanical drive are 4 minutes long, dunno if it's because of early stage of network servers, but it seems like p2p... need to check more with him.
on the bright side, the AI is quite aggressive and he's having fun for now. Very Happy

i hope to get inside the second wave, IF it will ever be one. Sad

The beta phase and release date are very close to each other, it almost sounds like a case of "early access in disguise" Razz (which wouldn't surprise me since it's the normality these days).

Unfortunately, only for Steam. Steam price is decent this time though. I preordered it from Gamesplanet @24€, but it could very well be worth the 34€ Steam asks for.

I never preorder, apart from collector's editions (see Witcher 3) but I'm so hyped for this. Hope it's worth it.

Guyver please keep us posted if you have any more info from your friend!

This is not the Shadow Warrior 2 thread Laughing

OK, how is this remotely related to Hellgate London, I'm curious.

You and your three pals blasting the hell out of creatures in randomly generated corridors? Razz
(Well I guess this might not use RNG for it's 'Space Hulk' setting, actually don't know.)

...I was a melee oriented templar though, liked their armor.
(Not exactly the smartest bunch perhaps when one senior guy goes "Let's go to hell!" and everyone goes "Yeah!" and then they all die. Very Happy )

Am I the only one who see this game more as Republic Commando and not L4D or Vermintide?

I mean I would absolutely love if this game turns out to be an incredible coop game, but from what I've seen and read this is more like a single player focused game with a separate coop mode, and not L4D/ Vermintide/ Hellgate London, those are clearly coop focused.
