Transport Fever is a railroadfocused tycoon game. Players start in 1850 and build up a thriving transport company. As an emerging transport tycoon, the player constructs stations, airports, harbors and makes money by connecting areas requiring transport services.

Not according to the recent reviews for it:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/304730/#app_reviews_hash

Some complaints: Performance, buggy, lazy dev.

And this game seems to use the same engine, so.

Insta buy here, no problem.

Enjoyed the first one despite its flaws.
I just hope they removed this stupid 20 minutes law regarding passenger/fret.

Finally they fixed station building/debuilding/rebuilding, this was a pain in Train Fever.

Trains and street vehicles are essential to create a successful transportation network. Therefore, a lot of resources were put into developing simple yet powerful tools to build tracks and streets.

Today’s video demonstrates the scope of these tools. Numerous examples show the different ways tracks and streets can be built, upgraded and combined.

These tools and especially the corresponding user interface are still under development, and we will give our best to still include wishes from the community.

As always, thanks for your great interest. We are looking forward to your feedback!

Pretty awesome improvements here Smile

How u play this! Rage

I somehow cannot get this game... I start a free play map from 1850 -> I tried to transport people between cities -> bankrupt. New game, same setting, tried transporting grain / livestock from farm to bakery (on random map this took quite a few restarts as if the distance is too long, there's no way to make the trip profitable with the 1850 transports) -> err.... 'profitable' if you enjoy watching some 10k profit gains / month until you unlock something better (didn't wait that long).

soe... what do?

Is the beginning of the game just always such a slow grind? (also with road transports (horses) it's not possible in anyway to make sure that the system does not get stuck due to queues? ie. I had few carriages transporting only grain, few only livestock, and had them always wait for full load (4 units) -> at somepoint there were all the grain transports in line waiting for more grain as the 1st one was slowly being filled (due to the potency factor changing and the farms generating the produce at different rates)...
With train I could do this, but they're so expensive in the beginning and I cannot into signals Sad

Made a little tutorial on how to build a (successful and profitable) Train line between 2 cities.

Including a working Bus system in each city, including an explanation of waypoints, signals, etc.

In the end, you'll have two cities connected with a dual track and two or more trains and each city will have an extensive bus system (4 lines each).

It's a great base to build on upon.

Enjoy Smile

Thanks, have to check in the evening.

Did you start from the 1850? (I like horsies )

As I think usually these games are much easier to start if you start from a date where wheel was invented already.

Yes 1850.

Check my post above yours, in the spoiler tag is a tutorial how to start out with a profitable train line connecting two cities and building bus lines in each.
