https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Call-of-Duty-Infinite-Warfare-and-Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-Remastered-for-Windows-10-on-Windows-Store

4. Can I play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for Windows 10 on Windows Store with my friends that are playing on another PC platform?

No, you can only play these titles with other users of Windows 10 on Windows Store.

If you buy it on Windows store(why would you? Laughing ), you can only play with other people who bought it there. Laughing

How though would you integrate Steamworks into UWP? Would Valve be willing to do the work required on their end for it and would Microsoft be willing to work on their end to add Steam compatibility, I assume no.

Cross-play with XBO could work (It's technically LIVE 2.0 or how to call it.) but would probably be a bit disastrous.

EDIT: I mean even as a bigger publisher I doubt you could just "I'm gonna take your two platforms and make them work together and you'll take it and you will be happy about it!" you see? Razz

EDIT: Come to think of it Valve has Steam on Playstation I believe, XBox though? No I doubt it.

Let me see if I get this straight. The Steam version uses Steamworks and the Win10 Store version uses some Microsoft functionality? So there will be two PC multiplayer communities totally separate from each other?

@Drowning_witch
Win 8.1 x64 + Classic Shell is where it's at.

yes, seems like steam version is using steamworks and windows store version uses xbox services (just like the xboner version). thats pretty dumb from craptivision to seperate that at all! but thats what you get when you kill classic dedicated servers etc and rely on stupid matchmaking bullshit

toni plz, dont hate ms when you know nothing about the case

Quote:

A source familiar to the matter recently informed us that the decision to segregate Windows 10 Store and Win32 PC platform players is entirely on Activision. There is nothing about the UWP toolset that prevents cross-play functionality, as seen with CD Projekt RED's upcoming GWENT card game. We can only hope that Activision will reverse its frankly odd decision.

Pretty sure BF1 of all games doesn't run better on win 7 vs win 10

Still not worth it to get your OS installation buttfucked by microsofts update fuckery on that one... "but but it's only with the major updates!"
Like saying "no no, this dick won't enter any hole. Just the tip. And not all the time, only once in a while" Laughing

Well, couple of hours of play and the campaign is pretty much CoD In Space. The bot is quite cool mind. Some of the toys you get to play with are fun. But, it is just a CoD game...

Space combat is... underwhelming (which is really sad). IT plays pretty much like an odd game of Dodgems in Space, with your thrusters apparently having no inertia whatsoever - constantly having to hold the forward button makes the Jackal feel more like a tank than a ship. And the lack of radar is just ridiculous.

I've not tried MP yet, but I expect it to be much the same as usual.
