You do realise that pushing up DPS does not mean you are going to hit better right? There is a reason its called damage per second and not direct instant damage.
What you need to do is get firearms stats high and fit better mods to the gun and not just stick shit on like magazine size and bullshit that just props up the dps number but in reality does not even outshine someone with much lower looking stats.
ull be fine with 4500 firearms and a dps of 250,000 +
Not sure what your dmr is like but with say a m44 or svd you should on average be looking at standard hit of 140k, and with a full crit/head shot with other stats involved to get at least 450k. If you are not doing that then something is terribly wrong with your build. Unless of course you are a tank build I guess, but shit man who likes no damage numbers  |

Yep. 4500 firearms, 5000 stamina, 50% armor mitigation is what i would aim for. with the relevant weapon mods for headshot damaeg and crit ofc

@moosenoodles At least in terms of Assault Rifles, a G36 and LVOA profit a lot from 30+ extra bullets per magazine. And they always managed to get even to other guns, even before 1.4
431k DPS on a DMR is pretty good, since it can mostly one shot red guys, and should deal quickly with any others. It only depends on the playstyle, one may like less shots but more efficiency, the other may like the suppression effect and high magazine capacity in turn for a lower damage.

It is more effective to get large hits in fast and with less shots due to npc movements. To spam a dmr over and over for example and just do lower damage hoping to finish the whole magazine to get the overall dps output is just silly.
Surely anyone would rather hit hard and less hits to get the job done right? If you want to talk playstyle then again that applies to that also unless you want everyone else to kill everything before you do, and with that making ones position in the group useless unless again you are a defensive/healer etc. That again is the only time I see the firing multi bullets at one target a viable build. |

Played alone last night, changed some items (finally reached gs229, still room for improvement), did some Underground missions, then went to DZ. Played for 2 hours around lower DZ zones, avoiding rogues and managed to successfully extract 3 times and no deaths.
Love how the danger feeling is still present even after some time.

Yeah, it is fun, now ^^
It fulfils my need for a looting game; that's for sure hehe.
Also, they fixed the whole "enemies are bullet sponges" and "player gets one shot killed" part of the game.
TTK is now significantly lower, feels more like a Shooter now, but at the same time, enemies are a lot smarter and use cover and flanking.
I don't think I'll play it for long or any extended periods of time, but like I said, it fulfils my loot desires, and that's fine by me 
Another major plus for me, is, that you can get everything by playing solo PvE if you so choose. There is no more "must group to get top gear" requirement and no "you must group and PVP for top end gear" either.
I hate grouping with random people ...
I really really do ...

I've been playing to now for 4 days since my char was 30 then shortly afterwards I never touched it.
Now with 1.4 it feels like a looter game. Killing stuff for more and more loot and it's more fun now to play.
So yeah give it a go again!

^ easier to swap items that way. Even if you specialized in an area, it doesn't matter, the new loot is so flexible, you could actually carry with you as many sets as you wish ( pump firearms, stamina or electronics ). You can easily craft new stuff or re-calibrate stats that you don't like.
After the successful evening two days ago, I had a poor attempt last night as I tried to complete a Hard Underground alone and ended up dead 3 times in a row, making silly mistakes.
Also did Clear Sky with some underpowered players, worked a bit hard, but we did it reasonably fast.
I need someone to group for HVTs, as they are the most quick and rewarding method atm.
Also, found out how to gain PxC easier, sell all the shit items you don't need, buy HE sealed caches from BoO vendor, open, each returns 5-15 PxC + items. Rinse and repeat

That and doing Clear Sky on WT2 grants you 100PC every ..10 min or so

Hell, you can even lower the WT to reduce the price of an item sold by a vendor. I'm pretty sure the stats of mods are left unchanged, but I'm guessing the equipment pieces and weapons drop to a lower GS.

that would be dumb if the stats dont change lol. will have to check that out. |

Wut? I don't remember joining a group with you, or answering to your voice chat ( i don't have a mic anyway ). I don't remember you coming online, your status was away most of the time. Last time I did was giving a quick check for items to all DZ vendors and safehouses, when I got out, I also logged out.
You sure you talked to me? I remember writing to you on uplay chat 2 days ago.
On a side note, tried a 3-phase underground, failed miserably during 2nd phase. Joined another group, we successfully did a 2-phase operation.
I'm happy with the stats I have now, reduced the amount of electronics, because after 1.4, electronics are pretty much useless now, sure I still have 4k in electronics, but at least I do some dmg and also survive a bit longer, not just support. 
Weekend is here ( when I hear word Friday, i get a boner ), so gonna farm for 2 Recliner items (holster and vest) with suiting stats.
