https://forums.titanfall.com/en-us/discussion/5763/titanfall-2-pc-patch-notes-11-01-2016

Quote:

Hey all, a new patch for the PC version of Titanfall 2 is now live. You will need to update for changes to take effect. See below for changes:

Titanfall 2 PC v2.0.0.7 Patch Notes 11.01.2016

Adaptive resolution scaling (requires TSAA enabled) - This feature allows the game to downscale the rendered image to help maintain a consistent framerate. This will be especially helpful for our users running lower spec video cards, allowing them to maintain 60fps more often, as well as those of you running 4K monitors with more midrange GPUs. Adaptive Resolution uses TSAA's resolve step to output to screen, thus the feature is only enabled when TSAA is enabled.

Word of warning: if you run a resolution or target framerate much higher than your machine will be capable of achieving you will be hindering image quality significantly as the Adaptive Resolution feature will be constantly downscaling your output to maintain performance. All systems will be different, so you should try different settings to see what works best for you and your configuration.

Other fixes in this patch. Thanks to all that have reported bugs and helped us identify these issues!

- Stability and GPU performance improvements
- Titan weakspot highlighting respects colorblind settings
- Reduced stuttering and playback issues with voice chat
- Improved speed of allocating Private Match dedicated servers
- Adjusted Recommended settings for lower end GPUs
- Reduced hitching when changing between no antialiasing and TSAA
- Increased performance of streaming textures, reducing stalls and hitches
- Archer and Thunderbolt now go to Aim-Down-Sights when wallhanging (oops!)
- Better Network chatroom moderation tools
- Fixed various grapple gameplay issues
- Fixed Kraber shots going through Bubble Shield
- Fixed certain combinations of weapon mods and menu selection resulting in no weapon model showing in customization menus
- Fixed spawning halfway underground after playing third person animations in Kill Replay
- Fixed tracker lock-on HUD elements not reliably showing up during Kill Replay
- Fixed Titan executions not triggering reliably
- Fixed mantling up stairs
- Fixed incorrect aspect ratio when switching from fullscreen 1920x1080 to windowed 1600x900
- Fixed some rare hardlocks and crashes
- Fixed subtitles being stretched in 21:9 ratios
- Fixed race condition when accepting Origin game invite with application closed
- Fixed some display issues in Networks lobbies
- Fixed disappearing grapple rope with TSAA enabled
- Fixed NVIDIA Surround crash

Someone posted the whole soundtrack. Sorry if it's been mentioned before.

As a personal note, screw all of you and everyone who refunds the game. I know money is an issue for some, even for me, but the game doesn't deserve that. It's fantastic in MP. I tried BF1 as well and it didn't appeal as much to me. In any case, sad to see the game doing so poorly.

I'm rank 25, the warping ability is quite awesome. I'm a bit annoyed by all the map hacks and sonars, everyone uses them and one lasts long enough to be a nuisance.

They announced Map Hack is going to be looked at in a future patch or hotfix. Someone on reddit mentioned quite a good idea, just show dots on the map and not plain wallhacking.

I'd buy this, it was the only multi fps I was looking forward to this year. That said there's no way in hell I'm buying a new game with such a low playercount while in Australia... I laugh when I see americans and europeans saying a games dead with 10k~ in lobbies.
You guys dont even know what dead is. No I'm not exaggerating or just whining. PC around 300 people online last weekend at peak times Shocked

Honestly can't blame ppl really. BF1 was always going to win this season on hype alone and putting titanfall so close was only ever going to end one way.

It would be fantastic if the time to kill was a bit higher, atm its just about who sees who first with not much time to react, or at least thats what I'm noticing from every gameplay video

He must be part of the rich 1% of the population of Romania.
Like Eduardo dos Santos and his warlords in Angola. And sure, money is also an issue for them (its the only issue, actually), and the other 99% angolans can starve to death as they would need to save wages for about 3 years to be able to buy a sigle TitanFall copy Laughing

Edit: And they are a left wing regime also! Power to the ppl, and all that fake bullshit!

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/titanfall-2-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide

GeForce.com guide for the game. Smile

EDIT: Insane texture quality is insane. Razz (But is it insanely detailed?)

Quote:

Per Respawn Entertainment, Insane requires 6GB of VRAM, Very High 1.28GB, High 768MB, Medium 384MB, and Low nothing whatsoever

That's a difference.
(Meh 1.5 GB VRAM for V.High, 6 GB for Insane, heh bit of a difference indeed. Very Happy )

EDIT: Ah so it just sets //setting.stream_memory" "6000000"// meaning 6 GB of VRAM for streaming so it can be adjusted fairly easily.

Ion is nice for starting. Plus the Red Baron skin suits it perfectly.
I played it until I unlocked Legion. Legion seemed so powerful but in reality I find it good for only certain maps.
Tone is so much fun as others have said and it's currently my favourite titan Very Happy

According to benchmarks this is bollocks. The game runs just fine on GPUs that have less than 6GB VRAM Very Happy

I absolutely rocked the 40mm in TF|1 so naturally I'm playing Tone, however, he seems somewhat OP. Legion is also pretty great but I really wanna roll Northstar however its chassis is really, really weak.

I also really wanna see a Titan use the rocket launcher, maybe the Brute from campaign will be a titan loadout down the line.

What's the playerbase on PC at now? Considering buying this. I'm in Spain now, if that affects some matchmaking.
