Point would be ..

Skyrim SE with mods will look better than skyrim with mods, run better and have more complex mods.

I've seen this comment so many times, i mean.. it's as if people assume SE won't be moddable.

Technically I think it's actually bigger since the base game at 13 GB is with the stand-alone high-res texture "DLC" which is a separate pack of files with the base games textures but at double resolution which this new edition now uses by default so it being 12 GB while having half of the texture data is a bit of a increase. Very Happy
(Not that Skyrim uses the best textures ever - 512x512 is common as I remember up to 1024x1024 and 2048x2048 in some instances. - or that the high-res pack is entirely complete - it's missing landscape and lod textures for example. - but it's still almost half of the texture data though minus the DLC content which didn't get high-res textures at all.)

EDIT: Texture pack is 4.5 GB in size. (So the game with all other DLC but minus this would be 8.5 to 9 GB them?)

I wonder why they're doing the adding of SE to accounts manually instead of automatically. Makes no sense ...

Re-releasing to PS4 and XBO primarily, getting support for the Bethesda.net mod platform for "improved" modding support (Well, for Bethesda.) plus of course mod support on PS4 and XBO, less so for PS4 currently though with Sony being knobs about this and Fallout 4 despite having initially agreed to it according to Bethesda. Would suck to have bought it only to end up downloading the torrent T_T

Make sure you aren't doing like I did initially (since I haven't actually played it on steam in almost two years) and looked under Skyrim. I almost bought it a second time and was only stopped when it told me it was already in my library.

Or go that extra step and just ban the accounts for trying to scam Steam.

Prove they were scamming and not legitimately refunding their purchased DLC.

I don't see them banning accounts but to disable the SSE they don't need to prove anything. It's simple for them to check any time if they either A) purchased or received the SSE or B) had previously purchased or received Skyrim and the DLCs.

What I suspect they'll do is wait until the promotion is no longer valid, then just do a mass scan of the above and disable the SSE of any account that doesn't meet the criteria. Don't meet the requirement, game goes away. Meet it, game stays. Simple.

By the way, what happens if Steam deletes a game from your account? They don't automatically delete the game files without prompting, do they?!

Interesting, I have a feeling my attempt would be more akin to the "thing" in Fallout 4 though.
(There are mods that attempt to restore it.)

The Fallout 3 one looks OK though, if a bit over-stuffed.

EDIT: I guess a lot can happen in 10 years though. Very Happy
(Time period between FO3 and FO4)

Maxson FO3 - 10 years old.

Maxson FO4 - 20 years old. Razz

Was there any mod for vanilla that made the conversations sorta like in old adventure games , or some rpgs.. uh

Not sure how to explain, kinda like mass effect conversations. Your char on the left let's say with a camera angle on it, the person you're talking to in front or on the right of the screen and with a chat box..

What i mean is something a bit more "cinematic" and immersive compared to the 3rd person dialogue in basic skyrim.

I don't think so you just loose access in Skyrims case since from what we know i won't use Denuvo so you would just past a crack over it and continue playing.

thank God Alternate Start - Live Another Life is updated too.
