Well at least modern mice actually somewhat resemble a computer pointer device even if the design can be a bit varied. Razz
(The R.A.T mice do have some pretty cool customization options though and with functionality behind them too at that.)

Now these things called "trackballs" were something truly alien. Razz

It's great mouse, IF it works. Their quality has been chaotic so it's worse than lottery...

I had RAT5 myself and it was awesome. Until the sensor died after a year and then the RMA replacement died after another year Very Happy

Have one...trackball ...useless shit.

I use logitech g5 for a long time now, it still works as on day one, after 8 years of constant use, bought 2, so when this stops working I can use the other one.

Lucky bastard. DA 2k13. Best mouse ever.

You don't even deserve it.

Enjoy.

Had one, left click wore out after a year. It happened to another Deathadder some years previously. Swore off Razer and went with Steelseries Rival 300. Main switches are rated for several million clicks, after six months the scrollwheel click is now problematic. I am fucking tired of crap quality mice.

Make no mistake, I love the design and comfort of the Deathadder. So much so that I might consider getting the new version(which supposedly has better switches) when even one more button will die on the Rival. I am a man of weak will.

After I have been a lifer with Razer, today I switched to the dark corporate side of Logitech.

I always liked ambidextrous mice (favs were copperhead, lachesis), my lachesis died after many years (6, I think). And I tried the new Diamondback, and it was just not enough of a jump in quality for me.

So I said fuck eet. And bought a g900.

After around 4 hours of play, I am now better with it in Overwatch, than I ever was with my beloved Lachesis, and to top it all off, I play it wirelessly - and whilst there is a slight delay, I know, I've seen the slow-mo, I can't feel it.

It isn't even close to being as sleek as by Razer mice, but it performs like a motherfucker!

I recommend it.

Cheers Radicalus!

I also had Razer mice ever since the first diamondback, then deathadder, then imperator. And when it was time for an upgrade again nothing really amazed me from Razer, so I went for the Logitch G502 a couple of weeks ago. Haven't looked back.

Had the g900 for a day now.

Absolutely stunning, this mouse. Seriously. I thought 150 euros in the beginning might be too much, but it was so very worth it!!!

Just got the G502 for 44€.
Currently have a G700s.

Meh, not really feeling it. Embarassed

Main complaints compared to the G700:
- louder clicks
- shit scroll wheel, that is loud and not as easy to turn
- not as comfortable for my palm grip, as the mouse is smaller

Will try out the G900 now for for ~105€.

I actually had a same "upgrade". Got a G502, which was on sale, and had a G700s until then.

Mostly similar observations:
- The G700s definitely felt much better in my hand, so it was quite an adjustment to the G502. A lot if it is just down to getting used to it, but it doesn't quite get there still - the G700s really did have the perfect shape for me.
- The Left/Right-click buttons on the G700s were noticeably stiffer, so I keep getting accidental clicks with the G502. I need to have a lighter grip on the mouse, which adds to the issue of overall feeling of comfort as with the point above.
- Miss all dem extra buttons of the G700s. I picked the G502 because it came close, but it can't really beat the G700s here either.
- By far the biggest issue is that wheel. One of the main reasons I still decided to stick with Logitech was their "free spin" feature, which I pretty much can't live without at this point. It was rendered unusable by the G502's much heavier and unbalanced wheel since it would often spin on its own, sometimes up to 180 degrees. I had to do the mod many did with that mouse (taking the wheel assembly from another mouse - thankfully they are identical and easily replaceable on Logitech mice) on day one, so now I have the G502 with G700s wheel. Kinda regret giving away my double clicking G700s, since I wouldn't have to take apart the perfectly working one (it has that G502 wheel now).

The G502 + G700s wheel combo is starting to grow on me, but ideally I would prefer something like the G700s with the G502 sensor. I didn't quite like the button placement on the G900.

Yup, same. Very Happy

The better sensor is the reason i'm still thinking of keeping the mouse.

As i wrote on the previous page i tested several mice before. Sadly the G502 was the only one that would be a worthy upgrade for my desires. Was sending it back then again, because 69€ is really to much for what it has to offer.
44€ is a more fair price.

Auraite, amazon.es had the g502 xunning edition on promo, final price with shipping 55€. Would rather have the normal one for even less but the more I look the less it appears around amazon and local stores. Discontinued or just sold out?

Gonna be fun if the core one appears on promo on monday Laughing Crying or Very sad

The only mouse I was ever able to properly use, is the M$ Intellimouse explorer 3.0.

But in europe or the US you pay like 90$/€ on amazon ...

Then I found out about aliexpress.

Was sceptic, but found it for 18€99 and it's the real deal Smile

And they have like endless stocks of it, so I should be fine until the day I die Smile

Current Logitech lineup isn't that great imo,
G402: not wireless.
G403: not enough buttons.
G502: not wireless.
G602: most uncomfortable mouse ever.
G900: too expensive.
PRO: not wireless.

G700s isn't on their website anymore (you can still access it through search engine), which I currently have. The comfort is great, it's wireless and it has enough buttons. If only it wasn't so badly built Sad So I'll just keep using it until some manufacturer comes along with a decent mouse, which, at this rate, I'm not sure will ever happen again Sad
