Played some more, operations are really the best thing that battlefield needed. Even though it can be frustrating as hell ( when your team doesnt focus tanks/people at anti air cannon ) its still awesome.
FPS drops as low as 35 sometimes (for a couple of seconds then goes higher) and I get stuttering, while GPU is at 40 to 90% usage (medium to ultra, respectively).
Watched my usage after couple of games now. First time there was a spike to 97% on all threads, but generally in the 40-50% range. Last game though it was 98% on all threads, definitely not right.
One with 0ping rank 42 murdering everyone on light tank on Amiens, so wouldn't have mattered if frames dropped, sadly it was still smooth (deaths).
We will be performing maintenance and releasing an update for Battlefield 1 on Oct 24, 2016, with the following downtimes:
• PC: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 0700 UTC/ 12AM PT Oct 24.
• Xbox One: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 0800 UTC / 1AM PT.
• PS4: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 0900 UTC / 2AM PT.
EDIT
Just found someone who describes exactly my problem:
Quote:
Just installed and tried a game of 64 conquest and 22 man domination. New driver not heped in anyway.
Skylake 6700k (4.4k)
GTX 970
32gb ram
System runs in 60fps on all graphics settings but stutters every 5-9 seconds for a second each time. The frames remain fairly constant but everytime it stutters, on y resource monitor there is massive CPU spikes to 100. I have hyper threadin, all cores sharing load evenly, spike affects all cores.
I have ruled out network, GPU/ driver errors. Fairly confident its these cpu spikes casuing the stutters as my machine should easily run the game on ultra.
CPU/GPU nevver goes above 50-60% (< 60 degrees both) when the game runs fine. Whenever a cpu spike occurs the cpu counter shoots up to 100 for a second then back to < 50
Game is just fucking the CPU pretty hard, the new nvidia drivers don't help obviously.
Let's hope this game update has something in it to address the issue.
Tried setting framelimit via console/cfg? Or different priority levels for the exe?
Giving it "above normal" priority helped me with freezes. "High" one somehow game me more stuttering..
Anyone getting DX related crashes when using Dx12 with current drivers? (the drivers before the latest ones were crashing quite often; every few maps. I have not tried setting the game back to dx12 mode after the drivers updated)
