I think it is x64, updated DX11 renderer and with new HD assets. No new quest content.

I guess it supersedes the LAA patch, sweetFX/ENB and official high resolution patches? Kinda.

Ah yes it's D3D11 now and x64 instead of x86 ("32-bit") and D3D9 which makes it incompatible with ENB though ReShade should still work and of course it will mean a total rewrite for the script extender from my understanding of how that works.
(Being able to use 4GB and above natively instead of ~3.5 and up to 4GB with LAA will help stability when using texture mods, I doubt the game is going to be all that improved when it comes to VRAM and RAM efficiency after all especially now that there's a lot more of it available.)

Just get the legendary edition now and you'll get the new version for free.

The legendary edition is like 10 bucks.

This is the most important feature for us considering one of the biggest issues with modding is the tight memory constraints of the old 32bit skyrim.exe that causes a lot of instability.

The 64bit gain is worth the brief wait for the update to skse and other utilities.

Denuvo does not affect modding systems, not internal and not external. Don't fall for the RetardQ arguments.

Precisely, far more important than anything else they've added. Should bring a huge boost to stability and hopefully even load times, which can get horrendous on heavily modded Skyrim even with an SSD.

Indeed, with hundreds of texture mods the loading times can be infuriating (and I'm on a standard hard disk, go figure). If only the vintage Bryo could have the ability to render buildings and caves seamlessly, that would be like seeing the light for the first time Very Happy Crying or Very sad

Let's hope all goes well with this new version, so we can start building a cryogenic chamber to ease the wait for the Requiem conversion and all the goodies from the modding gods.

Please...

This shit has been happening all the way back since morrowind. Where are the magic patches for the rest of their games?
Oblivion, with those bravil fps?
Fallout 3, on Riven "fps drop" city?
And interkurwa, me and everyone else are still waiting for the fixes on FO4, good luck having north of 30 fps with the shadow distance slider at anything beyond medium.

UNLESS they pull another failthesda coding marvel like having the load times tied to your FPS... like in FO4.
Best example is the famous load accelerator mod, how does it work you ask? Here:
Quote:
Automatically disable VSYNC at loading screen to reduce the load time

Laughing

I'm using the texture mipmap distance ini fixes and the loading times were unbearable after that, using this they're back to normal.

Would so much love for this to have the 'official' survival mod(e) implemented in Fallout 4.

Who knows, SE might still get official DLC - not from Bethesda Game Studios, but the new Bethesda studio in Montreal.

In the case of Skyrim it would severely hurt modding since most popular mods use script extender and other tools which heavily rely on modifying the exe/memory which is impossible with Denuvo the only mods possible are the simple shit no one cares about these days.
So please at least inform yourself a tiny bit before you spout bullshit like this.

They could have remade the original trailer

with the new stuff but ofc they didn't.
After all it would be too much work and where would be the money in that?
Maybe they'll do it nearer to the release

Back in 2014, we informed you abou Skyblion; a total conversion mod that aims to bring the world of Oblivion to Skyrim. Its development team has been hard at work and YouTube’s ‘Rebelzize’ released yesterday a new teaser trailer, showcasing its latest progress.

TESRenewal plans to release this total overhaul for the Skyrim Special Edition.

Although there is no ETA as of yet, the team claimed that progress will be faster and updates will be more frequent, and that a release date will be coming soon.

@Bob Barnsen I don't think you remember how Skyrim looks unmodded. That's how it looked. Most of the assets are probably not even redone from Oblivion.

That being said I see nothing wrong with this. Certainly does look a lot better than Oblivion does today.

That's what they write at least.

I guess they develop on the current non-SE version and just port it over?

@Bob Barnsen Nowhere it does mention they are using it, they merely said they'll port the work over. And I believe that's purely under the condition it works like the other thousands of Skyrim mods with minor port work.

Yep, just like every other modder. The current thought is that it *should* be a relatively simple thing to do for most mods (just open the mod in the new version of Creation Kit and save) but of course a lot of people'll have to wait for SKSE to get updated first. Which won't be a simple job to do, but fortunately those SKSE guys are professional wizards.

This is one of the best showcases of the new skyrim remastered version. The "live gamplay" from gameslice was utter shit, some other videos are bad quality as well... but this... plus graphic mods after a while? Holy fuck..

So Much Win

Enjoy (just ignore his overenthusiasm, still best quality footage i've found atm)
