Mass Effect: Andromeda Release Date Seemingly Given Away The future has a date.

We already knew that this was the book's release date, but the pre-order listing's blurb states "Dark Horse will release The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda simultaneously with the game!"
The Amazon UK listing has a March 23, 2017 release date, perhaps indicating the game will be released slightly later in Europe, which would not be an unusual move.

Any source for this? It would be great if that were true – a change from the usual "good-guy" story – but seems doubtful to me.
I think the main idea was that you were supposed to make a place for humans there (and I suppose for some other races as well). Seems to me like a pretty standard affair for their RPG games - do quests for various races/groups until you become allies/BFFs. Most likely will have to pick some factions over others.
I guess as the non-diplomatic way they could give you the option to subjugate them all by force to make things more interesting. Would also be cool if the native races could rally against you and defeat you. Game over, man!

The marketing is perfect. You don't get people to buy a game by showing them actual gameplay. You don't want them to see that clusterfuck until after you already have their money.
