- No Borderless Fullscreen. Really?
- Also can't bind the sidebuttons of my mouse, lol.

When is that awesome patch expected to get released?

Played it a little bit, and I don't think it's that bad - really. The story and characters are reasonably compelling - and less over-the-top than GTA.

Apart from the atrocious 30 FPS limit, I think the visuals are decent enough. Not great, but definitely not that bad. I quite like the lighting.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think people are exaggerating a little bit about the whole FPS and graphics thing. I mean, the game isn't groundbreaking in the graphics department but it's not that bad, and it is playable and quite fun.

The problem with the graphics is how blurry they are. To me it feels like playing at lower than native res.

I'm using ReShade with Lumasharpen - which helps a bit with the blurry textures.

Again, not a miracle - but it looks pretty good. Definitely better than Mafia 2.

Anyone with a 980 TI running this at 2160p?

I haven't been able to find any decent performance charts yet. I suppose people are waiting until the frame rate is unlocked.

We're making real technical progress here, man. Very quickly, too.

In 6 years Hangar 13 will catch up to 2012 game Sleeping Dogs. Can't wait!

Goddamn. Crying or Very sad Laughing

At least there's a good news in this melodrama (the mighty isodemo Very Happy), with the masochistic bear who has the privilege to experience suffering first-hand, hoping that someday, this waterloo will be fixed. Although, the game will likely be in the bargain bin when (if) that happens. Still!*it's something*

It was in response to ridiculous claims that Mafia 2 looked better.

As usual, people are blowing things way out of proportion because of the widespread moron-plague.

The one thing they didn't actually have to create, and just picked + licensed? Laughing Or is the score during gunfights and the like *that* amazing?

Choosing the right music is a hard task, even for this very forgiving era. Score too, honestly, except for the people screams, most of the soundwork is rock solid. Cars sound great, guns sound great, finally a little degree of realism in this part. Even small things like the little gravel that hits the car when you are offroad do their job.

Man, this game just oozes atmosphere. I only played for an hour or so, but damn. Everything is so well done. The voice acting, the way the story is told, the music (both the licensed stuff and the OST), the weapon sounds. Too bad about the technical issues, but I'm not touching it again until the 60 FPS patch surfaces.

I honestly didn't expect much from this, especially from the story department, but the way it unfolds pulled me in instantly.

I do like the atmosphere as well, sure it goes to hell pretty early on if you try to get into how the AI acts but it's a above average attempt at least. Razz

(The music is particularly nice, just driving around listening to the radio.)

Like early on when you assault a Haitian gang in the swamps - because solo operations against an entire gang were oh so common. - and you hear them shout orders and info to one another and talk between themselves how to set up behind cover and whatnot which feels really good until they advance in a straight line towards you one at a time - the others taking cover behind anything nearby just enough so you can still hit the exposed parts outside of said cover -, also really like the hit reaction and how they slowly bleed out or stumble around depending on how you hit them, quite a difference between pistol a, pistol b, revolver something, shotgun a and shotgun b or rifle a, b or c ha ha well actually there is a lot of different named weapons with different attributes but as there's so many weapons around you'll try to pick something up after a fight only for it to have been a entirely different model so you end up running from body to body as you swap to stuff with at least a bit of ammo still in it or hopefully find some of the same kind as to get some of the ammo refilled. Razz
(Driving can be pretty atmospheric too so long as you don't let the AI drive. )
(The sure love to whine though, oh fuck you blah blah blah! - when bumping into something, or someone. - Oh btw as I was saying plot, plot plot - a few seconds later. - ... Very Happy )

EDIT: Well it has it's faults but it kinda works though could do with some additional fine tuning or well it could have but someone needed the game to be out on a specific date and patches aren't usually known for overhauling the entire game although any bug fixes and crash fixes are welcome. Smile
(And fix the FPS cap of course.)

That said gameplay balance might have been a concern as well if the AI could actually fight back properly even with the player having regenerating health (And medkits too at that spread out here and there in little cabinets.) so eh who knows, can't be that difficult these days to use some of the extra processing power on AI can it?
(But nope try to give the illusion of the AI thinking when it instead mostly just charges you head-on and depending on the type of game it's either a mob rush of weaklings or a bullet sponge loner ha ha, well there's exceptions now and again I admit.)

Enjoying the game so much that I replayed it twice - because the fucking thing didn't save! Anyone using this XATAB release and have this issue?

Also, and I'm not trying to play this is in 4K 3D, the game runs fine to me. 60FPS (or whatever my PC can handle) would be nice, but I'm fine with it so far (16:9). Will agree that the voice acting and music is nothing but style so far. . .and that the tech issues people are having is a big black eye.
