I don't know if that's truly the case. MS made a mistake that allowed people to remove the encryption for Forza. It was described as a potential one-time fuck-up, so we'd need MS to do the same thing again to be able to crack GoW4 as quickly as Forza might be.

Still kinda expensive. Recore's much cheaper ~ $2.5

They say activation needs to be renewed if you install any windows updates, install new hardware, plug-in a second monitor, if you get BSOD. (they do not specify in the FAQ whether it's a win store specific or not).
After activation they send you a detailed instruction on how to preserve your activation as long as possible.
Reactivation = activation price/2
And yes, only single player.

Well it is Gears of War a game MS really cares about. I am sure if a real Halo game was also coming to Windows 10 they would make a special effort to get it running well.

Only complaint is that cutscenes stutter at times and some slight lipsync issues.
Gameplay is spotless.
