Adapted from the 2010 graphic novel, OFFICER DOWNE takes you into a hyper-real Los Angeles for the story of a savage LA policeman who is repeatedly resurrected and returned to active duty via dark science technology. When a rookie officer named Gable is recruited as back up, he discovers there's much more to the titular super-cop than a mindless law enforcement drone warring against a twisted rouges gallery of over-the-top super-villains.

Rated R.

I hope it's on VOD soon Wink

trailer looks really really bad.

and im a sucker for these kinds of retro cheesy cartoonish movies... and maybe its a good film, but the trailer just sucked something awful.

it just seemed to lack the effort, style, production value, and cleverness that a film like this needs to be good.

Of course, the quality is all over the place in the trailer.
But maybe it will be a pleasent surprise. Nowadays it's hard to make a good B-movie, mostly because the movies from 80's and 90's had big budgets.

Directed by a member of Slipknot? Laughing

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

It was 5-5.5/10 for me.
Kim Coates was awesome as Officer Downe, the highest point of the movie. Over the top violence, some nice head explosions, great music and one great scene at the end. And over all the quality of the directing was better than I expected.

But it had little to no script, just an excuse to show some violence. I understand some "artistic choices" probably to be more faithful to the comic book but some scenes looked cheap, and the dialogues were fucking abysmal.

It won't be a cult classic like Turbo Kid. You can watch it if you want to see Kim Coats being a badass and for some nice violence but overall nothing memorable Sad

Also Dredd Axe Cop.
