..........wasn't TDU a sandbox game of sorts?
You don't have to compare it to PC racing games (as there aren't many) and can compare to console racers (i've just never played the forza series)
I'm basically trying to figure out if the game is a long fun grind with tons of up-gradable parts, or if it is more of a "Hey, here is a car to use for the next 3 tracks, then we're going to give you another new car" type game...

So it seems it has some big vram memory leak. Sure i have ancient 2GB vram, but on low it runs 40-50 fps. Anyways after 40-50 min of play it starts spamming that its running out of video memory.....

Save it as whatever .bat, it fixes stuttering for many ppl. |
Tried it, it actually created more stuttering for me and loading/saving took a lot longer.

More specifically, disabling affinity for core 0 or 1 helps when you have Hyper Threading enabled.
If not, it will actually hurt performance considerably.

I had some rare stutters, nothing major, but i havent had ANY at all, since i did disable core 0 and put process to low priority.. that smooths it out just fine. If you still get stutters, try the high preset instead of ultra though with 2x msaa, no way you cant get it smooth with that + the core and priority fix.

I've had that happen today. Restarting windows 10 (not just shutting down since that does not actually reboots it) solved that. Not sure why.

Yep, I had to do the trick also and it's been smooth since. Played again last night for a few hours with no crashes and stable fps above 60.
Really enjoying the drive wherever you want aspect of it when you just want to cruise around and try out cars.
Did not go into the online portion of it yet, maybe performance is different.

Dynamic Optimization is set to OFF & Dynamic Render Quality is on Ultra
If that's what you mean.
