It does, quite a stupid idea for games actually it trashes the cpu and hdd like there is no tomorrow and the protection (only the encryption part there is a tut on rin how to do it) was allrdy broken a while ago, they also use some anti-temper drm thing i think it's arxan or something like that the game is a total drm nightmare atm with all this stuff and always online on top of it as well.

Is that not the exact thing everyone was worried denuvo was doing a while back? Needless read/write is awful for ssd's, not to mention performance.
So always online + drm/anti tamper + UWP is not enough? Gotta have active encryption as well? How ridiculous.

Think I'm done with this game for now. Sad

Specs: GTX 970, i7-2600k, 12GB RAM.

All settings: MEDIUM -> no AA, blur off.
Goliath circuit race: one of the longest circuit race (12m/lap).
FPS: unstable. As your speed increases, FPS decreases.
About ~60% of the race was stuttering like crazy, and the city parts it dipped to 20fps.

The worst part was that the game crashed towards the end. Entire 1-hour progress wasted. Crying or Very sad

City and riverside are just unplayable.

Also, be warned, the game won't be on your windows store library(basically you don't own the game).
They give you an account with the game and you can download it from there. Then you can start the game with your own account, but if you delete the game then you have to download it from the other account again.

Ok, got it with the same way with a psngames account.
Only now, as soon as I start the download of the game using the account it gives me a "0x80073CF9" error and cant finish the download...

What a weird game. I re-started PC and tried again. Now everything works smooth. Laughing

Also noticed when any background app (even if Chrome is open) is running, the game starts to stutter.

Normally I don't care for racing games that much, but this seemed interesting up until I heard about that terrible excuse for a DRM. Yeah, thanks but no thanks - even if it cost only 10€.

If 30fps is ok, you can do what I did. In game fps lock to 30 is broken and causes huge input lag but if you limit the fps via nvidia inspector for 35 fps FRAME_LIMITER_V2 then it works with no lag and no stutter (maybe rarely) so try that. I am playing like that @4k ultra on my 980ti with same cpu you have.

Ya,I admit it is kinda silly way to get a game, but that's the same way I got xbox one games before they started to appear on win10. Very Happy
The method works fine and you save some money...so why not, imo.

Wow, that's pretty damn shady and despicable. Then again, considering the parts involved in order to provide the most anti-customer product(s), I'm not surprised in the slightest (on the contrary), it only reinforces what I already thought. As far as I'm concerned, such policies and microstores can rot in pieces. Mad

No, because as I understand they are legit accounts...and the account I bought only has 1 game(forza).
Even if the account is banned, you can still play the game since you have it installed on your hdd.

This is my first win10 store game so who knows what will happen. Very Happy
But I've used this same method on xbox one for a while now and all games still work. I do uninstall some of them, like the ones I get on pc(ie. tomb raider).

But I'll just keep this installed to be on the safe side. Laughing

After playing this yesterday with a friend. Long session really takes the toll on the game...started stuttering for me too.
Guess you can't play too many hours straight, what a shame. :/

Still the co-op works great and it's a blast. Smile
